Concealers -Milani -Retouch + Erase Light-Lifting Concealer

on 3/24/2018 12:06:00 PM

Let's start with the good thing: The shade I use (light medium) is YELLOW. Which I love. So many drugstore concealers around this depth are always neutral or peachy or straight up pink. So because this is very obviously yellow, every time I apply it, I fall in love a little.

Unfortunately, the love affair doesn't last long...It ends right as I'm blending it out.

When I blend it, it does this thing where some parts are kind of separating. Like there'll be dry concealer sitting noticeably in certain patches. Typically I only use the elf under eye primer. And I figure 'this patchiness/separation must be happening because my under eyes are dry and I haven't prepped enough. So next time, I apply The Ordinary Squalane oil as well.

Patchiness/separation still there.

Ok...then I did Elf Under Eye Primer --> Clinique Eye Cream --> The Ordinary Squalane Oil.

Results: Huzzah! Instead of several areas of patchiness and separation, there's now only one area.....yay?

And the wear is pretty bad. Three hours in and the creasing is quite horrific. My Fit Me concealer doesn't crease this bad unless I wear it for 8-10 hours. My Colourpop concealer doesn't crease this noticeably no matter how long I wear it. But I must say, the Milani concealer doesn't seem to crease on me as much as the LA Girl Pro Conceal.

Overall, I wouldn't reccommend if you have dry under eyes and struggle with creasing. But if you don't have those issue, you should definitely give this a go! I suggest drawing on with a brush then patting in with a sponge/fingers.

OH but tip: Take the sponge applicator off. It's useless and soaks up product.

Blush -Milani -Baked Blush - Luminoso

I was really excited to try this after hearing such great things, but I don’t think Luminoso is right the colour for me. It’s very bright and very coral. I have very pale skin with pink undertones, and this just doesn’t look good on my face. I can see it looking beautiful on another skin tone, however. The packaging is very nice - with the blush on the top level and then another level with a mirror and a cute little brush. I may try another colour, as the blush itself and the packaging are good quality.

Liquid -Milani -Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation + Concealer

on 3/23/2018 3:55:00 PM

I love this foundation, everything from the coverage to the texture. However, I’m NC35, and this foundation oxidizes like crazy on me. It’s the only foundation Ive ever really had this issue with. I started off with shade 5, got shade 3, now just picked up shade 2, and that’s still too dark on me

Mascara -Milani -Lash Trifecta Lengthens + Curls + Separates Mascara

It's very clumpy, it flakes off and when you apply it and it seems to not get attached to the eyelashes at all. very disappointed :/

Eye Primer -Milani -Eyeshadow Primer

Price is about $6.00

I've gone through several tubes of this because I always go back to it. I think it's better or just as good as UD Primer Potion, Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Benefit Don't Stray, Smashbox Photo Finish, MAC Paint Pots( horrible on me used as primer). Every other drugstore brand has been a disappointment but I do also like Ulta's Matte Eye Primer. It's around $10.00 but I catch it on sale when ULTA has a sale but Milani is my first choice.

I don't have oily lids, they are on the dry side. This applies easily and never irritates or dries my lids out. I always apply a light dusting of translucent powder or a white or very light shadow over it before applying my shadows. I use primer every day and a tube lasts me about 4 months. It doesn't crease and my shadows last all day and well into the night. It won't hide veins or darkness if you have those on your lids, but most others don't either and ones that do dry my lids out and crease or cause my shadow to look crepey.

Here is the con... as SOME, NOT ALL, tubes gets about 75% empty it can separate. Not usually, but some tubes do. So when you squeeze it oil will come out then the product. Once it begins to get low, if I squeeze the tube it mixes it back together but I do find this an annoying problem but it doesn't happen with every tube. If you shake the tube well once in a while it does help also alternating by storing it upside down then right side up. I don't find this a reason to stop buying it because it's cheap and it works really well for my lids.
