Pressed Powders -MILANI -The Multitasker Face Powder

on 7/15/2018 5:29:00 AM

It's just alright, kinda meh.

Packaging: Quite bulky, not my favourite thing

As setting powder: Not my favourite, but not horrible. It gets cakey quite easily, so you have to use very little. Adds a little hint of extra coverage. But I don't think it controlled oils at all.

As foundation: It's alright, light coverage. But I'm more into medium coverage foundations so I tend not to use it this way.

Smell: I honestly don't smell anything? If you're not sensitive to smells, this isn't going to bother you at all.

Shade I used: Light Tan. I'm supposedly NC42, but this shade I feel was a litle bit too red. But honestly, everything is either too red or orange on me cuz I've got olive undertones, so it might be a perfect match for you.

Overall: I don't see the point in using this. I'd rather use a loose translucent powder I know controls my oils better, won't get cakey, and won't change my foundation's colour. Only time I'll use this is if my foundation is too light and I need to get it back to my skin shade. But if you want a sheer coloured powder, this isn't bad.

Palettes -MILANI -Most Loved Mattes Eyeshadow Palette

on 7/14/2018 4:40:00 PM

I picked up this palette the other day at Walmart and tried it out today. (It was only $15 compared to $20 on Milani's site) The shadows are so pigmented!!! A little bit really goes a long way with these. I don't like wearing shimmers on my eyes all the time, so this palette is a must have for those that like mattes. I did a video using the shades which I will link below. There's a row of brown neutral shades, a row of cool-toned purple/plum shades, and a row of warm orangey shades. I love how they broke up the 12 shades into 3 easy to do looks. I highly recommend it!

Primer/ Corrector -MILANI -Make It Dewy Setting Spray

on 7/14/2018 12:44:00 AM

I think the only thing I liked was how fine the mist was when I sprayed it.

I have dehydrated skin. Some makeup products can make me oily AF. I'm not sure if it's my skins reaction to an ingredient or not. But it made my skin get oily through out the day. So my foundation separated midday and was nowhere to be found at the end of the day.

Others seem to love this though. So if you don't have my problems give it a try.

Liquid -MILANI -Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation + Concealer

on 7/12/2018 5:56:00 AM

Everytime i use this product, everyone is like asking what foundation do i use, and they always amazed that i only use cheap Milani product. The coverage is amazing! But it kinda leaves a heavy feeling on my face. There’s no problem in using this product like only around 3-4 hours. I try to use this foundation like in 9 hours, and when i swipe clean my face at night it starts to show little acnes! I know that i wasn’t supposed to wear foundation all day. But good job for like dinner or lunch occasion.

Palettes -MILANI -Everyday Eyes Eyeshadow Collection - All

on 7/10/2018 1:43:00 PM

I have the palette in everyday mattes and all of the colors except one are excellent. Even the brush is nice. The mattes are pigmented and easy to blend and pick up with synthetic brushes. I experience no fall out. I can do no makeup makeup with this palette, smoky brown eyes, as well as contour the eye area and put a separate shimmer color on the lid; I often just use my face highlighter with it on the lid or inner v. The dud color is the one meant for the eyelid, which on my MAC NC 42 skintone is just a low quality, low sheen, low opacity shimmer. A better color here would've been an opaque light orange/light carnation color or light peach color, or a satiny metallic or shimmer pink/taupe/beige/ivory shade to put in the inner v, or lid.

I think it's great. The black is very good. I would reccomend and repurchase because it's such an easy palette. I don't have to think about anything to use it, it's very obvious what goes where and if you dont know you have a pictorial on the back of the palette for inspiration.

I'm def. getting more eyeshadow from Milani after this experience!
