I first encountered Sexy Amber when it first came out in 2013. It seemed like every time I placed an order with Sephora or Nordstrom that I received a free trio sampler of Sexy Amber, Glam Jasmine, and Sporty Citrus. Michael Kors marketed these 3 new perfumes quite heavily at that time. I liked all three but Sexy Amber was an instant love. However, I didn't purchase a bottle at the time because I already owned Chanel Allure EDP and they are VERY similar. I actually prefer Sexy Amber over Chanel Allure because the peach note in Allure can be overwhelming and sometimes makes my stomach turn. Well, fast-forward 5 years and I have finally gotten around to purchasing a bottle of Sexy Amber. Most perfumes are easy to put into a fragrance category. They're either gourmand or oriental or citrus or fruity or fruity floral or floral or aquatic. But Sexy Amber is somewhat hard to put into a category, but I guess I'd call it oriental. Amber is right there in the name, but this isn't amber heavy like my beloved Fancy Nights by Jessica Simpson or Prada Amber. I mean, amber IS present but it's made subdued by the sandalwood and the musk/powder. I read someone mention how the drydown of Sexy Amber reminded her of a sexier, younger Cashmere Mist. Although they are not identical, I can somewhat see the comparison.Although Sexy Amber is not polarizing like Thierry Mugler Angel, I figure some will not like it so you should test first. I think it's a scent that is appropriate for most occasions and seasons, but I guess I'd call it more of an Autumn scent. To me Sexy Amber is sexy and mature but not old. I love it.

I like Michael Kors EDP but I don’t seem to reach for it often. It’s sweet but not in a candy or foody sort of way. It’s sweet like flowers, tuberose to be exact. Additionally there are two odd notes in Michael Kors EDP that aren’t present in most perfumes: banana and some sort of plastic. It’s like sniffing a banana Laffy Taffy but with the plastic wrap still attached. I know that sounds unpleasant, but it really is a nice scent and also helps differentiate Michael Kors EDP from other tuberose/ gardenia heavy fragrances, namely Marc Jacobs For Her (his original fragrance in the plain square bottle). It really is a nice perfume as long as you’re into tuberose or even gardenia heavy fragrances. My only complaint with Michael Kors EDP is the bottle; actually the silver band to be exact. It attracts fingerprints and smudges and drives me nuts. I’ve heard Michael Kors EDP is popular in Los Angeles. I can imagine this fragrance blossoming beautifully in the sunny weather of southern California and also Hawaii. If you test out Michael Kors EDP but desire something lighter, then try Diptyque Do Son EDT (a love of mine). If you test out Michael Kors EDP but want less tuberose, then try Marc Jacobs For Her. If you test out Michael Kors EDP and hate it, then you’re probably not a tuberose fan =)

Nice sparkley dazzling little scent. Its a white floral with gardenia being the dominant note. The mandarine orange and iced bergamot is lovely and the bright red raspberry give it a fizzy effervescent vibe. The bottle is a little bit too rectangular thus making the bottle difficult to grasp for me. No big deal though. Its the scent that counts and if fruity white florals are your thing you will probably like Very Hollywood. This is quite an old scent and has been discontinued but can easily still be found on ebay and at discount perfumeries. Check it out. Its a fun fragrance.

Sexy Ruby is a fruity amber mix, centering around raspberry, musk and a intense note of rose. Basically it is just a lighter version of Estee Lauder Modern Muse Le Rouge, with a helping of Jasmine and the sharp twist of pepper ala Victoria's Secret Very Sexy [the newest version] thrown in, plus the headiness of Illamasqua Freak Scarab's Davana and mossy undertone. The sillage/longevity is neither poor or outstandingly great [it averages at around six/seven hours and goes close to the skin quickly], This is not a bad fragrance, but there's nothing original here as I immediately start thinking of the other perfumes that it reminds me of, so it doesn't stand out on it's own merits. I think that if you love Modern Muse Le Rouge, Freak Scarab, or Very Sexy but struggle to wear them as they are all more intense and longer wearing, then this softer version might work for you.Official scent notes: raspberry, apricot, Davana, orange blossom, jasmine sambac, rose petals, moss Crystal, cashmere wood and vanilla bean.

This reminds me of an old lady fragrance. I will not purchase.
