Maybelline

The Maybelline Company was created by a 19-year-old entrepreneur named Tom Lyle Williams in 1915. Williams noticed his older sister Mabel applying a mixture of Vaseline and coal dust to her eyelashes to give them a darker, fuller look. He adapted it with a chemistry set and produced a product sold locally called lash-in-brow-line. Williams renamed his eye beautifier Maybelline, in honor of his sister Mabel, who gave him the idea. In 1917 the company produced Maybelline Cake Mascara, ""the first modern eye cosmetic for everyday use"" and Ultra Lash in the 1960s, which was the first mass-market automatic

One of the few foundations I have repurchased! This is a light to medium coverage foundation, with a satin finish that's not overly dewy, but not matte/drying either, so I could see this being workable for a lot of people. I have combo oily/dry skin, so I like this because it glides over dry areas, but is not overly emollient for my oily t-zone. Having said that, this has to be set with a powder if you have any oily areas, because of it's finish, it won't hold back shine well on it's own. Another con, is the shade range...there are no options for the very fair or fair with yellow undertones. I am an NC15 and using the lightest shade "Porcelain Ivory", which is a little too dark and too pink for me, but is passable once I set it with my powder (CG Professional Loose Powder-Translucent Fair). There is no SPF in this, which is a pro or a con depending on your preference. I love the locking pump bottle, and the price is great (around $8). Does not irritate or break out my temperamental skin. Will repurchase!

Mascara -Maybelline -Volum' Express The Falsies Flared

I like this mascara, because I get full/fanned out lashes in one coat. I don't find the formula to be dry, but I like to add 4-5 drops of sterile eye drops to all my mascaras, because I prefer a wetter formula. I like the curved spoon style wand, although it took me a few applications to get used to it. Reasonably priced at around $7, and you get more product with the Flared version (9.4ml) versus the regular Falsies (7.5ml), even though they are the same price. Have repurchased, and will again!

Liquid -Maybelline -Superstay 24HR Full Coverage Foundation

I can't say enough good things about this foundation. Holy moly. I am impressed! I have super oily acne prone skin, for a reference. Foundations usually cake up, get shiny and cause break outs. This one how ever ... does NONE of that. It lasts all day and looks just as good as when first applied. It didn't cause a single break out, which impressed me the most. I almost ALWAYS break out when I try a new foundation. Coverage is medium but buildable to full. I am able to cover most of my acne scarring with a single coat and just use concealer where needed. A pump! FINALLY. A bloody pump! Who ever thought that pouring out foundation from a glass jar was a good idea?! A repurchase for me, over and over again. So happy!

I have THEE lamest lashes .. short, straight, refuse to cold a curl ... basically a nightmare for mascaras. I am constantly searching for a high performance one, and very rarely am I impressed enough to repurchase. Does this impress me? Absolutely! The formula is fantastic! Buildable. Doesn't smudge. It gives my lashes this beautiful feather look. So pretty! Price is right! $9 cdn. Give this a try! It's a good one!

Eyeliner -Maybelline -Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner - All Shades

Jan. 2018. I would have given this liner a higher review but the sharpening process has a lot to be desired, as a matter of fact, I literally had to break off the turning clicking bottom piece and find a stopper (a modified soft rubber earring back, to fit snug) to push the eyeliner up with the stick portion of a broken Q-tip! What a mess. Please fix this dilemma and this product with be great. For now, I will be return to my H2O liquid, I guess.
