Maybelline

The Maybelline Company was created by a 19-year-old entrepreneur named Tom Lyle Williams in 1915. Williams noticed his older sister Mabel applying a mixture of Vaseline and coal dust to her eyelashes to give them a darker, fuller look. He adapted it with a chemistry set and produced a product sold locally called lash-in-brow-line. Williams renamed his eye beautifier Maybelline, in honor of his sister Mabel, who gave him the idea. In 1917 the company produced Maybelline Cake Mascara, ""the first modern eye cosmetic for everyday use"" and Ultra Lash in the 1960s, which was the first mass-market automatic

On my third bottle. This concealer is great I'm shade medium and it covers almost all my dark circles after I set it with a powder. I use airs pun or fit me powder. Needs to be set if not it will
Crease like crazy and leave u with a oily mess. The price could be better. Lasts about 8 months. Not bad if your on a budget and want something that pays off.

Liquid -Maybelline -Superstay 24HR Full Coverage Foundation

I liked the full coverage and the way it looked immediately after application. But after only 1 hour I looked so oily till the point I looked like I was sweating! I don’t get this oily when I’m barefaced. I’m surprised at it being so greasy when it’s a long wearing foundation. It’s going right back to the store.

Pressed Powders -Maybelline -Dream Wonder Pressed Powder

I see that all the 1 star reviews on here are from former users of the Dream Matte powder, which I never tried. From reading about that powder, it sounded like it kept oil at bay very well, so if you're expecting that from the Dream Wonder powder I'd guess you'd be disappointed a lot because the Dream Wonder is for people with normal to dry skin (which I have).

I purchased "Classic Ivory" which looks very fair and yellow toned. I'm NC 25/30 in Mac and also wear L'Oréal True Match in W3/4 so you can imagine why the Classic Ivory would totally not match my skin, but it did, so clearly this powder is light in the pan but goes on dark and does oxidize slightly. I've noticed the more darker you go, the more it oxidizes (I initially tried the Sandy Beige or something like that and it went on beautifully and then 30 minutes later it looked like I smeared dirt all over my face). So go down 3 shades and find the right undertone.

This powder doesn't cling to dry spots or texture and gives medium coverage and a glowy finish. I'd liken is to Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural (my most favorite powder), which is very moisturizing and dewy looking - another powder that is loved by dry skinned folks.

I took off one star bc finding your powder match shouldn't be a science experiment gone awry until you find the right match.

This powder is really good for setting foundation or concealer, but for my oily skin type, it didn't keep it matte for much long. I got oily on and around my nose just in a hour. I also don't like that it transfers onto my fingers when I touch my face, but this one is fixable when you go over with setting spray in the end. I've been looking for powders which hold in my oils for at least up to 5-6 hours and something non-transfer, which this powder did not have, but I'm gonna surely continue using it for setting my make-up until I found something that works for my skin!

Lipstick -Maybelline -24 Hour super stay

Full disclosure here and probably an unusual reason to provide a review ... I’m a lip gloss junkie and almost never wear lipstick as I find almost all of them too drying. Once or twice per year for three or four consecutive days I find I need a full coverage lipstick that absolutely will not budge in order to conceal bruises from lip injections. This stuff definitely does the trick! I find even the lighter end of the color spectrum in this brand will provide full coverage. The key is to start with clean dry lips and apply two or three coats and let it dry completely between coats. Sometimes I need to put an extra coat just on the bruise itself. I reapply the balm frequently as I like my lips to feel moist. I use Lancôme Bifacil to remove. I’ve read great reviews on the Revlon version and may try that as well.
