Maybelline

The Maybelline Company was created by a 19-year-old entrepreneur named Tom Lyle Williams in 1915. Williams noticed his older sister Mabel applying a mixture of Vaseline and coal dust to her eyelashes to give them a darker, fuller look. He adapted it with a chemistry set and produced a product sold locally called lash-in-brow-line. Williams renamed his eye beautifier Maybelline, in honor of his sister Mabel, who gave him the idea. In 1917 the company produced Maybelline Cake Mascara, ""the first modern eye cosmetic for everyday use"" and Ultra Lash in the 1960s, which was the first mass-market automatic

Eye Shadow -Maybelline -Lemonade Craze

Lemonade Craze is a limited edition summer release full of pink, yellow, coral, and neutral shades to create a warm eye look. I have seen this all over You Tube and watched a lot of reviews. Opinions seem to be split on this palette. I went ahead and picked this up as I am a sucker for cute packaging and this is done well and very eye catching plus I couldn't say no to those beautiful shimmery shades like Citrus, Sugar Coated, and Strawberry Lemonade, and Ice Pop is just such a nice matte raspberry shade. After using this, I really like the eye looks I've created and they are indeed very summery looking. I love the warm firey colors in this. Coral Punch is a really great transition shade while Berry Ice is perfect for blending and Main Squeeze and Sunnies are great highlight colors. Lemonade Craze, the hero shade, is the weakest one in the palette. It is a pretty matte golden yellow and looks decent going on. It only builds up so far though and gives a soft look. All of these shades will give a soft look to the eye and are blendable. I had to apply all of these with a patting motion of the brush though rather than a swipe as that tended to blend it too much into the skin. Patting the colors on was the best method for all of these. The shimmers had a little fallout and were best used with the wet brush method. You have to be careful with blending and I did have to go back and build up more color when I blended some a little too well. This is very workable shadow and I had no real problems with any of them. The shadows are manageable and the colors worked so well together that no matter what combo I used they all created a pretty eye look. They did tend to fade some with wear and that is with an eye primer beneath as well as a setting spray to help prolong the staying power. I really liked all the eye looks I came up with so far and for blue eyes this is a perfect combo of shades. I wish there were a darker brown though for more definition as the color Old Fashioned is simply not enough. This isn't a ground breaking must have palette but it is a nice easy grab and go for some summer looks, and I'd give this a 6.5 out of 10. I'd buy it again, but I could live without it just as easily. I probably have dupes for all of these colors if I look in my stash. Overall, I am happy with it. It is very hard to find though as it's been on my radar for a few weeks and I just found this at a single Walgreen's in my area. I have 6 near me and only 1 got these in. I picked up the very last one in the display and the salesclerk said they were a very in demand item and she had sold a lot of them in the past day.

Oohhh where has this been all my life? This is such a beautiful pinky/neutral nude color! I am very pale (nc10) and this looks really good on me! 10/10. I also love the smell of maybelline lippies, they are my favorite drugstore lipsticks! Love this! If you are fair, get this and try it!

Now don't get me wrong I like to this product because it kept my skin hydrated since I deal with very dry skin but however I never had a problem with breakdowns and ever since I started using this Foundation my skin started to break out probably because I have sensitive skin but but I really did like this product so I'm not sure if I will purchase it again since it's not working for me unfortunately. 😭

Liquid -Maybelline -FIT Me Foundation (Matte + Poreless)

After years of failed attempts trying to find my shade......... I've finally found it!! Sun Beige 310.

I prefer a natural/satin finish. I don't have any extreme discoloration or acne or bumps or scars. I just have slight uneven skin tone & all I really want my foundation to do is to even it out & airbrush my skin.

I used this for 1-2 days in average, sunny California weather (70-80 F). It endured my average day around the house & around some stores. Love that I couldn't feel it on my skin & didn't have any acne breakouts.

Then, I brought it w/ me to the Philippines & Thailand where the weather is 90+ degrees Fahrenheit AND HUMID to see how it'd really last. I wore it for 5 different days. Surprisingly, it lasted VERY well for those conditions! I was expecting it to melt off or something! But well after 4+ hours in that weather & humidity I look shiny, obviously, but my skin still looked very airbrushed & even & satiny. I didn't notice any smile lines or any breaking up. Not bad, Maybelline!

However, I will say that if someone has pores or texture around or on their nose, or wherever, they should try using a smoothing primer. This foundation slightly accentuates it.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline -Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Shadow

A genuinely long-lasting product, even on my oily skin. I have this in a matte pale pink shade and a matte taupe shade, can't read the exact shade names as the sticker's too scratched. Anyway, this comes in a little glass pot and a screw-top lid, inside is a firm putty-like substance that you put on your finger or sponge and then apply. I just use my finger, it's quite blendable when I first apply, and I particularly like to use this for work as it's quick to apply and still looks nice. Coverage is buildable, it applies semi-sheer but you can always add more layers for a more opaque colour.

I'm unsure about claims it lasts 24 hours, but it certainly lasts throughout busy 13-hour shifts. Once dry it doesn't budge, and can also be used as a primer and base shade in one. When I put eyeshadow over it before it's dry, that eyeshadow will also last all day and not streak or run. Quality wise it resembles MAC's paint pots but for a significantly cheaper price. Love this and repurchase when it's empty.
