Maybelline New York

The Maybelline Company was created by a 19-year-old entrepreneur named Tom Lyle Williams in 1915. Williams noticed his older sister Mabel applying a mixture of Vaseline and coal dust to her eyelashes to give them a darker, fuller look. He adapted it with a chemistry set and produced a product sold locally called lash-in-brow-line. Williams renamed his eye beautifier Maybelline, in honor of his sister Mabel, who gave him the idea. In 1917 the company produced Maybelline Cake Mascara, ""the first modern eye cosmetic for everyday use"" and Ultra Lash in the 1960s, which was the first mass-market automatic

Liquid -Maybelline New York -FIT Me Foundation (Matte + Poreless)

Easy to apply! T is foundation is so easy to work with and - I apply it with my fingers and it goes on smoothly over primer. It lasts all day. I have 2 shades - 110 (the standard pale shade that's neutral) and 102 (a cooler toned light shade that's still similar enough to 110). I plan on repurchasing these because they wear so well throughout the day.

I use this mascara to help make others look better. Separates nicely like a comb. Blackest black is perfect. Used alone, I don't get enough length but combined with any other brand is perfect for me. I use the straight wand only.

Liquid -Maybelline New York -Superstay 24 Hour

Got this in True Ivory as I’m very pale (NC15). New Zealand has a different shade range to other countries, so this may differ depending on where you live. Packaging is a nice classy glass bottle with a white lid, it has a pump too, which is great. (I recall using this product years back before the packaging and formula was changed, I remember I really liked it so thought it was time to give it another go). At first on the skin it looks really good and flawless, applies easily, creamy, colour match is perfect. However unfortunately it oxidised on me a ton! I looked at least three shades darker within hours, and it showed on my neck! Also it settled into every little pore on my face. I really wanted to like this product, but unfortunately the oxidation was a deal breaker. I usually use Revlon Colorstay combo/oily in #110 Ivory, so will be going back to this.

Did not work on my skin texture, it just emphasized uneven skin texture a whole lot more.

Mascara -Maybelline New York -The Colossal Big Shot Tinted Primer

I bought this at Shoppers Drug Mart for too much $$ for what it's "worth" at 13.50 CAD not incl. taxes. I could've gotten a Benefit sample mascara for just a couple of dollars more Arg!... I guess I don't really see the point as all. It's the same as just layering regular mascaras. I'd compare it to a mediocre mascara that one would use before putting on a better one afterwards. I liked the packaging and never used a black tinted primer. I did not notice any difference to length, nor could locate any fibres. I do however give it 2 stars as it's black and I do notice it helps in holding a curl. Next time I'll just buy the raved about L'Oreal white primer when it's on sale.
