Maybelline New York

The Maybelline Company was created by a 19-year-old entrepreneur named Tom Lyle Williams in 1915. Williams noticed his older sister Mabel applying a mixture of Vaseline and coal dust to her eyelashes to give them a darker, fuller look. He adapted it with a chemistry set and produced a product sold locally called lash-in-brow-line. Williams renamed his eye beautifier Maybelline, in honor of his sister Mabel, who gave him the idea. In 1917 the company produced Maybelline Cake Mascara, ""the first modern eye cosmetic for everyday use"" and Ultra Lash in the 1960s, which was the first mass-market automatic

Liquid -Maybelline New York -FIT Me Foundation (Matte + Poreless)

Has a good shade range and I found a good shade match for me which is 220. It sure is matte for the first 2 hours since I live in a tropical country. Can't agree that it is poreless because without a primer I can see it ettling in my pores.

I know Maybelline means well when they come out with products like this, but the one thing I wish they would do is get the shades right. Not all women undertones are neutral or beige. It just seems like all Maybelline shades have those kind of undertones, and it drives me nuts. Anywho, I purchased this and it's really not half bad....BUT...The only thing is that you have to blend to no end and fast to get it to look halfway decent. The coverage is really nice...for a bit., and that's probably the only thing I like. It does stay on, somewhat, but after a while, it separates, and your skin starts to poke through, so I had to blot powder on my t-zone by Noonish, which proved to be annoying. Would I repurchase??? No. But I do feel this formula could work on someone with normal skin, and not oily like mine. Sorry, Maybelline.

Lipstick -Maybelline New York -Gone Greige

Didn't think I could pull off a grey toned lipsticks since many I've tried make me look post-mortem. But this one has a spicy undertone that makes it combine glamorously with my yellow undertoned skin. It's a statement color but not too "out there" if you know what I mean. I've worn this for college and my friends have gotten the same shade and love it as well.
The formula is matte but not too dry, very opaque, and very durable on the lips after meals.
I definitely recommend this if you want something bold but classy at the same time!

Lips -Maybelline New York -Color Sensational Shine Compulsion Lipstick

I tried this out in the colour spicy mauve, as the light nude shade looked too light. I liked the colour, but it's more of a terracotta-red-pink-brown than mauve. The shades are decent, but not a huge spectrum from light to dark as there are only 7 or 8 shades.

What I didn't like about this was the way it felt on my lips the whole time I wore it. It was very shiny but also so so oily feeling. It felt like I had just eaten the greasiest fried chicken and had gotten grease on my lips, and I was very conscious of the feeling the whole day I wore it. It feels like it's about to slide off your lips onto your chin or wherever and I had to be very careful talking and whatnot. Just not a comfortable lip to wear.

This may be because I had a darker colour (which I have since passed on), and you may not have to be as careful with a lighter colour but it just wasn't worth the discomfort for me. I will be passing on the rest of the line.

So after reading great reviews about this product I decided to give it a go. I do have semi-serious dark circles under my eyes. I first found the consistency of this product to be too runny. After applying it to the circles under my eyes and trying to blend it , it seemed like my skin had only absorbed the product and the circles were still smiling at me in the mirror. If you're a person in need of full coverage under the eyes - this product is not for you.
