Lip Gloss -MAC -Spice

on 7/15/2018 10:13:00 AM

Back in the days I was addicted to vgv lipglass even tho it was sticky but I went through so many of them. Then I strayed from Mac and never wore a lipglass again. Somehow last summer I saw a Japanese model wear spice lipglass on ig and it looked so good on her that I went to buy one for myself (I’m chinese so our skin tone almost same). Since then I’ve been wearing this lipglass a lot but especially in summer. Is a nice nude but is sexy. Doesn’t wash me out and add just a hint of glossiness. Oh and the lipglass is no longer sticky as back in the days lol

Makeup Brushes -MAC -109 Small Contour Brush

on 7/14/2018 7:15:00 PM

This brush is discontinued. It's replaced by 109S (Synthetic) brush like many others in MAC range.
While I adore the concept of using synthetic hair the brush doesn't perform or look exactly the same.
The bristles of the new one are packed denser, it doesn't do a good blending job. The old 109 looks more round, less precise and better for building up products. Also, the new one is significantly shorter than the original one.
Save your 35$ and buy synthetic brush elsewhere.

Eye Shadow -MAC -Lustre - Honey Lust

on 7/14/2018 12:56:00 AM

I have a fair to light oil olive skin tone. Honey Lust is a nice wash of shimmer and brightens my dark brown eyes. It's a lovely color on it's own but also to layer.

Lipstick -MAC -Cremesheen - Modesty

This color in the tube looks like it could be another mauve nude, but it actually looks quite dark mauve on my light to medium skin tone. I love it though! However, I am not a fan of the Mac cremesheen formula at all... It feels creamy and hydrating upon application, but almost to the point where it's too creamy. I do have to make sure my lips are very well exfoliated and completely smooth before I apply this formula, otherwise it will emphasize the texture way more than most of my other lipsticks would. Another con - it does not last on me (almost gone within 2-3 hours even without eating). I think these might be not big issues for those who love and are used to wearing creamy lipstick formulas. I personally am more into long-lasting mattes or just transparent high-shine glosses. Mac's cremesheen is something in between and it's not my cup of tea.

Liquid -MAC -Next to Nothing Face Colour

on 7/12/2018 7:15:00 PM

This amounts to a silicone-based primer with a transparent wash of color in it. You can expect from it the same effects that a primer delivers. My skin felt smothered, making this intolerable for me to wear. I am not a fan of primers. It's far better to get a good serum to perform the same function as a primer with the benefits a serum offers. The product also balled up during application. I tried it with only moisturizer underneath and on top of bare skin, and it made no difference. There are far more comfortable finishes out there. This just didn't do it for me.
