Brows -MAC Cosmetics -Shape and Shade Brow Tint

on 12/12/2018 7:30:00 PM

I cant believe no one has reviewed this! I love this for a natural brow hair stroke drawing pen liner. I have this in taupe and i have dark brown hair. I love this for drawing in hairs in the front of the brow. I no longer use powder or any brow products other than this. I really love how its like a liquid liner. Though i dont use the shader side where its a powdery stamp type thing. I just use the liner side. Its great for a natural hair stroke technique.

Eyeliner -MAC Cosmetics -Eyeliner Kohl in Costa Riche

This is described as a coffee bean brown. I am C1 nc20 and this does pull a bit red but not in a bad way. I love this as a base all over my lids and blended out. Easy to
Smudge and stays put. Its a very nice single shadow eye look smokey sexy reddish teddy bear brown eyes. On the lower lash id def smudge this because it can pull a bit red by itself just as a line in the waterlines. Its ok looking in the waterlines if im being honest. As an eyeshadow its great. Its a really beautiful alternative to black. Id repurchase.

Its kind of the twilight vampire liner lol for the waterlines if you know what i mean. It doesnt bleed(no pun intended) and It will make your colored eyes pop.

Makeup Brushes -MAC Cosmetics -# 239 Eye Shader Brush

Best eyeshadow brush ever! It's pricey, but is really the best in packing on the shadow on the eye lid and diffuse the edges. The new (synthetic) version is not comparable to this one, so don't be fooled and buy the wrong/new one. I have two back-ups and went on an online hunt to get a fourth one when I heard it was going to be discontinued, but no success unfortunately. If you discover a lonely survivor somewhere, don't hesitate and buy it! Or buy it and sell it to me! :-)

Blush -MAC Cosmetics -Powder Blush - Blushbaby

It took me years to finally try this blush. It’s the perfect “work” blush if that makes sense. Neutral enough for work but gives just enough color on the cheeks to make my nc20 skin look flushed. If I had to pick only one blush to use forever this would be it. It goes perfectly with my signature soft brown Smokey eyes and pairs well with kevyn aucoin lip pencil in medium. It’s now my every day blush and I just wish I had tried it sooner!

Lipstick -MAC Cosmetics -Lustre Lipstick - Spice It Up

on 12/11/2018 7:56:00 AM

I have been wearing Spice it Up since it first came out over 16 years ago. It is a great mulberry red-brown shade. It is a lustre & all that comes with the lustre formula (light, juicy, usually surprisingly pigmented, forgiving but not as long lasting as other formulas). It is a gorgeous, impactful color. It packs more of an oomph than NARS Gypsy...not so much that much brighter, but just more pizaaz. It falls more into the red leaning berry family on me. Other shades in this category for me include NARS Gypsy & Revlon Spicy Cinnamon. Those aren't "dupes" for Spice it Up, but they are definitely more of that mulberry red with a hint of brown tone to it. Gypsy is more earthy than Spice it Up. Spicy Cinnamon is a bit more red on me. Spice it Up is a bit more siracha than both.

Final thoughts, this has been an instant classic shade for me that I have been wearing since I was 27 years old (now 44). It is gorgeous and impactful but at the same time forgiving on the lips. I love the look of this lip. I tried not to rebuy it recently but there was a void in my collection, so it was recently repurchased. And I am glad to have back in the fold. One of my favorite red-ish shades. I am nw20, deep winter, 3n brown-black hair.
