Lipstick -MAC Cosmetics -Lustre Lipstick - Spice It Up

on 12/11/2018 7:56:00 AM

I have been wearing Spice it Up since it first came out over 16 years ago. It is a great mulberry red-brown shade. It is a lustre & all that comes with the lustre formula (light, juicy, usually surprisingly pigmented, forgiving but not as long lasting as other formulas). It is a gorgeous, impactful color. It packs more of an oomph than NARS Gypsy...not so much that much brighter, but just more pizaaz. It falls more into the red family on me. Other shades in this category for me include NARS Gypsy & Revlon Spicy Cinnamon. Those aren't "dupes" for Spice it Up, but they are definitely more of that mulberry red with a hint of brown tone to it. Gypsy is more earthy than Spice it Up. Spicy Cinnamon is a bit more red on me. Spice it Up is a bit more siracha than both.

Final thoughts, this has been an instant classic shade for me that I have been wearing since I was 27 years old (now 44). It is gorgeous and impactful but at the same time forgiving on the lips. I love the look of this lip. I tried not to rebuy it recently but there was a void in my collection, so it was recently repurchased. And I am glad to have back in the fold. One of my favorite red-ish shades. I am nw20, deep winter, 3n brown-black hair.

Eye Shadow -MAC Cosmetics -Satin - Grain

I am NC30 in MAC. I tried this eyeshadow based off of Pinterest and the reviews on makeupalley🤔. So glad I did...I love it💕. It’s subtle but looks really good. I use it on Myers and under my brow as a soft highlight. Just make sure to moisturize and/or prime before using this or it may seem chalky or not stay on as well. The color is so pretty and goes with my brown 👁👁s well!!! I use expresso or another darker brown in my crease💋

Liquid -MAC Cosmetics -Next to Nothing Face Colour

I actually really like this product. I tried it at the store and I really loved it so I purchased the shade light. It matches perfect with my skin tone. About me NW20 or below, blonde hair, green eyes, very cool undertones for reference. On top of that I have enlarged pores my skin is combination and I do not have acne or any other skin issues. So for me this product is perfect because it evens out my skin and it seems to blur minor imperfections. I like this because I was looking for something with very minimal coverage. For me being combo I haven't had any problems with it my skin doesn't get super oily or anything.

To me this is the perfect no makeup, makeup product. This makes my skin look even and luminous. Since I do not have a lot of skin problems this works very well at giving my skin a flawless appearance. I could not see this working for anyone who wants true light coverage. This is lighter than a tinted moisturizer I think but it blurs and makes my skin look so pretty. So it has coverage but it's more an evening out while blurring minor imperfections. For me it makes my sin look perfect and I love with the colder months that this is moisturizing.

I like this product a lot and I haven't had any oxidation or breakouts. I think if you're looking for something just to even out your skin while making it look so pretty this is a great product to try. If you are looking to hide acne this will not work. If you want really pretty no makeup, makeup skin this is a great product to use.

Lipstick -MAC Cosmetics -Retro Matte Lipstick - Ruby Woo

on 12/9/2018 6:16:00 PM

I got the little mac version because i dont wear red lippies often but i love this so much i def will purchase the reg size! I cannot wear this without mac prep and prime lip though. These two are a perfect combination and their burgundy lipliner! It looks like velvet on the lips and a classic red. I am c1 in face and body around nc20ish. This is my go to red if i want that bold lip look. I love mac diva also for the vampy look. I used to like russian red but i feel this looks better on me for some reason. I feel russian red is a tad darker and more blue based. Ruby woo is more bright which is surprisingly flattering and its very matte velvety look to it which also makes it lasts longer on the lip. If you tried russian red and felt its not the perfect red id suggest ruby woo. But by no means its unwearable, i feel its the perfect red lip without being too warm or cool. Theres def no orange in this. Some people prefer russian red because its less intimitating! Ruby woo is sucha gorgeous lipstick you cant go wrong. Its very classy and looks expensive on the lips, idk how to describe it, Def repurchase!

Eye Shadow -MAC Cosmetics -Eye Shadow - Sable (Frost)

on 12/7/2018 8:14:00 PM

What I like most about Sable is the intense pigmentation, smooth application and shiny finish which isn't glittery. The thing is that swatched it look more pink on my hand while on the eyelid where basically translates as a deeper version of All that glitters. Lasts long over TFSI though and doesn't crease. Not what I wanted but a good eyeshadow overall.
