Liquid -MAC -Studio Face and Body Foundation

on 12/12/2017 8:01:00 AM

I have had this product for a while now and I absolutely love it. I know this foundation is extremely popular with makeup artists and I can see why. I have the shade C2 which is quite yellow but it warms my complexion up yet still matches. I am NC20 for reference so think the shade C1 would be an exact match. This foundation provides light and buildable coverage and actually looks better as the day goes on. It stays on and most importantly does not break me out whatsoever. I have normal skin which can be dehydrated and also a bit sensitive. I would say that this foundation is probably better suited to normal/dry skin as it is quite dewy. I apply powder in my t-zone when using this but my skin isn't oily. The finish it gives is like my skin but better. It basically is second skin in a bottle (for me anyway). I honestly cannot recommend this enough for those who are looking for light-medium coverage however I definitely think it is better suited for normal skin types as it can leave a bit of a shine.

Blush -MAC -Mocha

Mocha blush is a classic. I’ve owned this several times and I’ve bought it for my mom. It’s a very wearable everyday pink. On me, it’s very neutral. It’s not peachy or yellow or blue. I personally don’t see the plum and it reads slightly warm on me. I have a hard time with pinks, but I love this one.
The formula is amazing. It’s Pigmented and buildable and blendable. My mom struggled with hard pan but I never have. I’m not sure what she and I do differently.
I love that I can get it in a pan and pop it in a palette.

Eye Shadow -MAC -Paint Pot in Painterly

on 12/10/2017 11:57:00 PM

One of my favorite MAC eye shadow.
Simply put this is an awesome color. I can make dramatic eyes with darker colors in the corner or keep it soft and simple with this all over lid and wedge in crease.

Moisturizers -MAC -Strobe Cream

How come no one talks about the strong perfume in this? I couldn't believe my nose when I took a whiff of this product: it smells like a disinfectant bathroom cleaner, absolutely disgusting. I used it on top on my cheekbones, under and over foundation, and saw zero difference. Not even a glimpse of a glow. It didn't matter, because I would never use such a strongly perfumed cosmetic on my face. Companies need to get a clue.

Eye Shadow -MAC -Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Vintage Selection

on 12/10/2017 10:27:00 AM

I love this color. I bought this so I could use it to brighten up eyelid and wear with a liner for occasions where I want to look polished. I wear little makeup. My daily make up is lining my eyes, mascara plus mac retro lipstick. My makeup routine when I do a full face - mac studio fix powder + foundation in nc41, Bobbi Brown peach corrector, Bobbi Brown Jet eye pencil with mascara and mac retro lipstick (or) some neutral lip color. Only after a year on this routine did I start to use a blush. But my routine was more or less minimal back then. So, I wanted to up this a little bit when I'm going out. So, I purchased this vintage selection eyeshadow as I was looking for a brightening color with a little shimmer but unnoticeable. This was when painterly was becoming all the rage. I did not want to have two products one for covering pigmentation and another paint pot for brightening. So I bought Vintage Selection. It is a beautiful champagne color that instantly brightens your lid. I'm nc41 or Bobbi Brown natural tan 4.25. It applies sheer or heavy depending in how you use. A sheer application also brightens eye but my lid pigmentation may peek through. Now I wear this on top of taupe cream eyeshadow by Bobbi Brown and this one appears as a true beautiful champagne. I didn't like it much with a tan and it looked too white/silvery when I was dark. So, think about this before you buy one. It applies beautifully with fingers and it is easy to blend.
Pros :
1. Easy to apply with fingers
2. Beautiful color
3. Good pigmentation
None for me.

Amazing product. Highly recommend.
