Blush -MAC Cosmetics -Frost Blush in Margin

on 11/14/2018 7:54:00 PM

This is the blush that replaced my warm soul!
I am nc20 c1 - c2 , warm soul(new formulation) was my all time hg but it was a tiny bit too orange and just not satisfying me anymore (packaging sucks too). First after comparing it to mac Peaches It looked a bit muddier less natural. Peaches was perfection! BUT I wanted a blush that had a sheen since peaches is a sheertone and its basically matte. I had my eye on Margin because seeing the swatches online it had looked similar to Warm Soul (the old formulation). ive been searching up and down for a dupe of the old formula. Though i never owned it i was determined. Also, I much prefer the packaging on the regular blush line than their mineralize blushes so thats a plus.

Margin is a glowy beautiful peachy bronze with a bit of pink. Its a lot more pigmented than warm soul and longer lasting on the cheeks. It also does not pull too yellow orange or muddy while warm soul sometimes can lean a bit brown and dirty. I guess i just went with the hype for warm soul and just never ventured out, i am so happy i did some research and found this blush, its what i hope the new formulation would be. I use a stippling brush and it never looks overdone. I use peaches for natural everyday blush and margin for a nightout or a glowy bronzy look for the beach especially in the summertime. No highlighter is needed with this blush but a little bit of hush cream color base to top it off never hurts!

I am very happy to say my search for my HG blusher is over. All i need is Mac Peaches(day) and Margin(night) and i am set for life! Id repurchase this and recommend this to everyone.

Primer/ Corrector -MAC Cosmetics -Prep + Prime Natural Radiance

on 11/14/2018 5:28:00 PM

I was given a couple of very generous samples of this product by a lovely MAC sales associate so have used it about 5 times so far. It comes in two shades - pink and yellow. I have neutral skin, but my best MAC foundation match is NC15, so I was given the yellow colour. I apply this to my skin with my fingers and give it a couple of minutes to settle before applying foundation. I find that my foundation applies well over this primer, whether I am using a brush or a sponge. All my other makeup sits nicely over this primer also. It doesn’t seem to give too much radiance or glow - my matte foundations remain matte over this primer. However, it does help my makeup to last longer and stop separation on my chin and mouth areas (which are generally my problem areas). All in all it is a great primer and I would purchase a full size happily, but I cannot give it a full 5 lipsticks as it is certainly not ‘radiant’.

Blush -MAC Cosmetics -Powder Blush - Peaches

on 11/13/2018 9:19:00 PM

I gotten this as a gift with purchase on mac website for their singles day! Ive been wanting to try this because ive tried melba and felt it was too pigmented and clownlike. I am nc20 c1 to c2 so i am on the pale side. Melba looked like i gotten sunburnt and i like going heavy hand with blush. Peaches is more natural ,less coral and pulls less red on me. Its very close to my natural flush color.

My favorite hg blush WAS mac warm soul. I can go nuts and it still looks good. Peaches on the other hand is sort of the same since its a sheertone and i can go to town. It looks like it could be a dupe for the reformulated warm soul except it has no sheen and its not as bronzey. Its a bit more brighter and pinkier than warm soul but more fresh on the cheeks. Warm soul has that glow to it since it has shimmer and peaches is on the matte and super super natural "im blushing" side. I tried to wear it side by side on both cheeks and i actually like how peaches makes my skin looks better. I look more fresh and bright that looked very natural and not too much. Warm soul side is a bit more orangey and muddier than peaches. I have the new reformulated version of warm soul so im guessing thats why? Plus warm soul new packaging is so ugly and hard to open. Idk im really loving peaches over warm soul these days since it is getting colder and i dont want a shimmery blush. Peaches might really replace it and become my new hg.

I love the sheertone formula because i can go heavy handed and it wont be clownlike. I def am thinking of repurchasing if i ever finish or lose this, i love it, its so easy to wear, lasts long and looks so youthful. This is a great natural everyday blush thatll go with everything.

Edit- got my hands on Margin and these two blushes are life! I dont need to get another blush because Peaches and Margin are my day and night perfection!

Lip Gloss -MAC Cosmetics -Cremesheen Lipglass in Boy Bait

on 11/13/2018 9:12:00 PM

The color is a nude milky pink with a bit of peach thats makes my me look innocent but also sexy. Its not so opaque that it will erase the lips but it just adds a very beautiful shine while enhancing the look of your natural lip color, Sort of looks like if i drank lots of water. Easy to wear and does not wash me out(nc20 c1). I much prefer this to the sticky/goopey Prrr Lipglass, its a lot more comfortable and moisturizing than the other glosses ive tried(ex. glossier, nars).

I would pair this gloss with a smokey eye or if i want a nude plumped lips. The only down side is the price and you get less product than a regular lipglass.

Dupes -
+buxom white russian without the plumping, less sticky and much better smell. I looove how mac lip products smell of sweet waffles.

+Colourpop fairyfloss is a close dupe also but boy bait is less milky and more flattering

+Nyx fortune cookie butter gloss. This is identical to fairyfloss

If you want a cheaper alternative, those are petty close.

Eyeliner -MAC Cosmetics -Brushstroke Brushblack Pen

on 11/13/2018 9:03:00 PM

This is perfect in drawing a thin line for begginners. Ive used the tattoo liner trooper by kvd. Stila stay all day both the original and the micro tip. I like the mac one the best. Heres why

Kvd trooper tattoo liner- not a true black, kind of grey . Dries out very quick. Brush is not as precise. But good brush style tip not felt tip. Fades throughout the day

Stila stay all day- too shiney of a finish, felt tip but lots of product and lasts longer than kvd but not as easy to draw a good line.

Stila microtip- same as above but with a very tiny felt tip brush but still not as easy to use as a brush tip.

Mac brushstroke- best of both worlds. Last long, true black and brush tip that is super tiny. Its the easiest to use out of all of these ive mentioned. I always make a perfect like every single time. I suckkkkk at lining eyes before using this. I love love love this eyeliner so much. My Hg! Will def repurchase and recommend.
