MAC Cosmetics (MAC standing for Make-up Art Cosmetics) was founded in Toronto, Ontario, Canada by Frank Toskan and Frank Angelo in 1984 with the assistance of chemist Vic Casale. The first U.S MAC store opened in 1991, in New York. The company's products were initially aimed at professional make-up artists, but are now sold to consumers worldwide. Estée Lauder Companies acquired a controlling interest in MAC in 1996, then completed their acquisition of the company in 1998.

Good only for the dustbin.......

Blush -MAC -Powder Blush - Peaches

on 5/20/2018 6:05:00 AM

As the name suggests, peaches is a beautiful peachy warm tone blush. It is very buildable and wears well throughout the day. I will say it is best suited to those who have a more yellow undertone to their skin otherwise, it could pull a bit too orange. Highly recommend it!

Lipstick -MAC -Retro Matte - Ruby Woo

I disagree with the poster that said this looks good on every skin tone. Im nc 20 and it looked horrible on me! I looked like I was Ronald Mcdonald and I wasn't lovin' it! The online mac artist recommended saying away from this color and try Russian Red instead (based on my skintone ) but I bought it anyway. I returned it and purchased Russian Red which looks so much better on me. Ruby woo can look beautiful on some people and I really wish it worked out for me but sadly it didn't. If you get it and it doesn't work out, I strongly suggest to try Russian Red, which is a very slightly darkened red and I found it complimented my skintone perfectly.

Brows -MAC -Eye Brows Styler

on 5/19/2018 3:40:00 AM

This replaces MAC's Eye Brows Brow Definer, which was a pretty great little pencil except for three things. People frequently complained about the lead being very brittle and snapping off, something I could relate to. Another negative was that although you could advance the lead, you couldn't retract it. Finally, there was no spoolie. MAC went back to the drawing board to solve these problems and introduced MAC Eye Brows Styler, which is fully retractable. They even added a spoolie.

It comes in eight colors. I bought Fling, an ash blonde shade that isn't too grey. (This color is identical to Fling in the discontinued pencil.) The lead is still very thin, which is one of my favorite things about it. It's easy to make precise strokes. It's about the same diameter as Anastasia's Brow Wiz.

I think the formula has been improved because the lead is definitely not brittle. It's soft enough not to be scratchy, yet firm enough not to smear. I applied it this morning and I'm typing this review at midnight. My brows are still intact and I know I scratched one of them earlier today.

Unfortunately, it's not any cheaper than the previous pencil. This little darling goes for $19, but I'll pay it because I love everything else about it.

In case you want thicker lead, MAC offers a fatter pencil with a triangular shape called Great Brows Brow Sculpt. There is also a good old-fashioned wooden pencil, the MAC Veluxe Brow Liner, which requires sharpening.

Liquid -MAC -Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation

on 5/18/2018 6:06:00 PM

Absolutely love this. Lasts all day. Full coverage without being cakey or obvious. I mix in Mac Face & Body sometimes to thin out. Makes my mature skin look flawless. I can layer on skin care with little concern and that includes a good dose of LRP sunscreen as a last step before applying the foundation. I want to try using the Mac 170 brush with this and will report back! I can spritz on Fix Plus without hesitation and frequently!! Shade selection is incredible. As usual Mac just nails it!
