Lip Gloss -MAC -Jingle Jangle Dazzleglass

on 3/24/2018 8:21:00 PM

I was underwhelmed by this at first. Compared to other Dazzleglasses I've tried (Funtabulous, Love Alert), this is unpigmented and more cool pink/blue than the warm pink it appears to be in the tube.

Then I wore a pale pink shirt with this--wowza. It really gelled with the soft pink and gave me a fresh, fun look. The blue/pink glitter is very evident, so this is probably not something I'd wear to my conservative office, but it's beautiful in sunlight, more subtle indoors, and a nice weekend option. The base color itself disappears on my lips (I'm NW15 with somewhat pigmented lips).

The formula is, as others have said, very sticky. That's pretty typical for Dazzleglasses, though, and I think that's what keeps them on for more than a few minutes--if they weren't sticky, the glitter/shimmer wouldn't adhere to the lips as well. I can eat and drink with this on and I don't end up looking like a clown, which is really important.. It lasts about 2 hours, with the shimmer/glitter becoming a bit more subtle as it wears.

Someone mentioned that if you pull the brush out quickly, there's a glob of product that comes with it. I've found that to be the case also. With the repackaging, I'm wondering if the brush actually got smaller, and that's why it's easy to get a little excess goop.

I like this. It's not HG worthy, but with the right outfit and other m/u, this works.

This is a great color. Great formula. I feel like I have to be having a good skin day, though. It could sort of bring out any redness if that's a problem for you.

Makeup Brushes -MAC -#187 Duo Fiber Face Brush (Stippling, Skunk Brush)

Definitely has more than one use. It's taken years for my brush to lose its quality, I still think I can get a few more months out of it. I've had it for years. Typically, I use it to apply bronzer and for stippling.

Lipstick -MAC -crimson lipmix

This color is like MAC Dubonnet (My fav that was discontinued) and Revlon Super Lustrous in Blackberry (my other FAV that was discontinued). I already have 2 backups in case it's discontinued (as happens to ALL makeup that I adore!). The color spreads easily/smoothly, the pigmentation is rich. It has a mattish-sattinish finish. Perfection! This has fabulous staying power.. much better than I expected. When it finally wears down, it's a beautiful deep stain. I have also applied/worn over lip balm--due to winter-chapped lips. It still applied & performed beautifully! This is stunning! And it doesn't dry my lips out.
I also purchased this in White and in Deep-Tone Nude. They all mix well together to create your own colors/depth. Deep-Tone Nude is a deep beautiful Neutral color that is also stunning when worn. I love this stuff and I highly recommend it! (Not affiliated, as my now-empty wallet will attest!) ;)

For those of you with extreme/extensive allergies (like me), this has NO coconut derivatives!! NO Caprylic Glycol!! YEA!!!! And NO SESEAME!! And NO Macadamia Nut!! And NO Shea!! Thank GOD!!!! The ingredient list is short & sweet. I will type it later when I have a computer keyboard! As virtually all lipsticks have incorporated caprylic glycol into their formulas, LipMix is a Godsend!

I have tried many matte lipsticks. I was a little hesitate but I bought a mini. LOVE IT! For a matte formula it is creamy and non drying. Such a gorgeous plummy reddish natural look with great pigment. Have had many compliments. Lasts too. I just put a swipe of my Laura Mercier setting powder on my lips, a liner and the lipstick. LOVE!
