Eye Makeup Remover -MAC -Gently Off Eye and Lip Makeup Remover

Wouldn't recommend for sensitive eyes. It makes mine burn and go red. Removes makeup ok but it takes more product and work to get makeup off than my others. The packaging has a child proof top that is hard to get open, and hurts my hands. You have to press down firmly while turning the cap. Not great last thing at night when I can barely keep my eyes open!

Primer/ Corrector -MAC -Prep + Prime Fix + Matte Mattifying Mist

This is a very good setting spray for oily skin. It keeps me matte longer and gives a nice finish to the skin. Typical MAC pricing...not a bargain but not outrageous. Nice light smell too. The mist could be finer. A keeper for sure.

Mascara -MAC -Zoom Lash in High Esteem

I got this in the "Little MAC" edition around the holidays and have just gotten around to using it. I'm not a big fan of MAC mascaras, but the color of this appealed to me. It's a charcoal grey, quite dark, with a muted dark blue cast and a subtle luminescence--no shimmer or glitter, just a sort of glow. It doesn't excel in length or volume, but the amount of it gives is perfect for my aging blue/grey eyes, and the shade really brings out the blue of my eyes. It applies easily, layers well, doesn't get clumpy, doesn't uncurl my lashes, and doesn't flake or smear. It also doesn't irritate my eyes, and it comes off easily with a biphasic remover (Neutrogena). Although this looks rather ashy on the wand and initially doesn't look much different from black on my lashes, the softer shade, blue cast, and luminescence work some magic for me. I would repurchase, and am thinking of getting a backup, which I rarely do. This would be my everyday mascara if it were a staple in MAC's line.

Lipstick -MAC -Mocha

This is kind of a difficult color to describe, and the online swatches as well as just looking at the actual lipstick bullet don't really match how it looks on my lips. The review that calls it a "peachy-brown with hints of warm pink" is pretty spot on. Also, I think whether or not this shade works for you is completely dependent on your skin tone, which is a given for most lipsticks, but more so than usual. I am medium olive, pretty tan in the summer, and this comes off as a darker yet still mid-level nude on me. There is just enough contrast with my skin + that elusive perfect peachiness to differentiate it from other nudes, and the little bit of pink keeps it from clashing with my skin.

The MAC Satin lipstick formula is always one of my favorites. Opaque, matte-ish but not flat, long lasting for a standard lipstick formula. Low maintenance. For some reason, Mocha is a little more drying than my other Satins, but it's not bad at all. Doesn't need a liner, but I prefer one with it. I have a NYX lip liner in Nude Truffle that is at a 8/10 level of perfect match (enough for me to not seek out a new one lol).

I'm vibing with Mocha right now because it's very Monsoon Wedding, very gypsy caravan-esque, but without the overt drama of, say, a deep red/rust/wine lip. This is going to sound weird, but it emits this like gilded jewelery box aura and if it works with your skin tone, it will radiate that aura to the rest of your face. I'm guessing it's that perfect balance of peach and pink. It's subtle enough for work & still 'enough' for night time. Definitely try this one on before buying though!
