Eyeliner -Luminess Air -Airbrush Calligraphy Eyeliner Pen

on 8/17/2016 5:33:00 PM

Garbage. I appreciate the fact that the pen arrived shrink-wrapped in plastic to prevent tampering. I know no one opened it, used it, or played with it before it arrived on my doorstep. So I was even more surprised when this brand new pen was dried out. Hardly any ink at all. Maybe it was old stock, but if that's the case, they shouldn't be selling me an old one. This is the product I received, so this is what I have to review and it doesn't work. I paid around twenty dollars for it, and it was a complete waste of money. I can't get a dark line at all. This is going in the trash bin.

Primer/ Corrector -Luminess Air -Rouge Underground Makeup Sealant

on 12/9/2014 3:26:00 AM

I got a small sample of this from an ipsy bag.

The one con is that the spritzer does not give a fine mist, so you have to find your own mister or experience big drops of water on your face. Luckily, I got one on amazon for cheap not too long ago and it was perfect after that.

This really does go a long way into making skin look like skin, not cake-face, and having it last all day long.

The finish LOOKS like skin, but feels kinda tight and absorbent. It has quite a bit of PVP, so sensitive skin might not be able to tolerate this.

I consider this superior to other setting sprays in the finish it leaves the skin and the lack of denatured alcohol. UD's de-slick is glorified hairspray to me. This may have quite a bit of PVP(which can inflame some people's skin, however I think it's a great ingredient), but it's not the first ingredient and it doesn't contain harmful inflammatory agents or ingredients that can sneakily damage your skin and give you wrinkles and dull skin down the line.

Personally, I'm on Differin and my skin is a little thinner, redder, and flakier than usual. This didn't irritate my skin in any way, though I never really considered my skin sensitive.

I don't carry this for touchups, because I mostly don't need to. I carry my toner in an opaque spray bottle when my skin's feeling kinda dry, and blotting papers and powder for when it's oily. It's winter, so the weather is kinda drier than usual, but I haven't needed touch up my makeup AT ALL. At the end of the day, I'm happy with how my makeup looks and I didn't have to use an alcohol-based remover to get this off.

I haven't worn this to the gym, but I will update in summer, when my skin is much oilier.

For $12, this is also pretty cheap, even if you spend a few bucks for the spritzer.

Foundations -Luminess Air -rouge underground

Finally an airbrush foundation in a can that you can use without spraying onto a brush or sponge first and get really nice results! The best way to use this is to spray your face first and then blend with a brush afterwards for the most "airbrushed" look ,but you don't have to like some of the other brands. There are 5 shades to choose from ranging from fair to dark and it is supposedly self adjusting. I do find that for best results I like to use a little setting powder but overall I find this to be a very nice product. A great way to have an airbrushed look without the whole machine.

Primer/ Corrector -Luminess Air -Luminess Air Minus 10

on 12/4/2013 4:35:00 PM

Luminess calls this primer a "texture enhancing gel" rather than a primer. (They have another product called "Fotoset Primer" but I haven't tried it.) Minus 10 works beautifully. It glides on, has a silky finish, and a little goes a long way. Of course like all primers, the effect is temporary - you have to put your foundation on right away before the gel sinks into your skin.

Like all their products, this is sold only online and the price seems to vary wildly depending on how you search for it on their site. I searched for "Minus 10" and it was $7.99. I searched for it by "texture enhancing gel" and it was $29.00!! That's a huge difference! If you can get it at their lowest sale price (plus S&H) it is very much worth it.
Click on any item for a search bar to come up, then search on 'Minus 10'.

Concealers -Luminess Air -Air Concealer (All Shades)

I believe luminess is every woman's best friend =)

Their foundations are great and can be used as concealers. I do believe they should make airbrush concealers for those of us who have sunspots but the foundations cover just fine.
