Lubriderm was founded In 1945 by Dr. Louis Schleuse, who was a pharmacology professor at the University of Texas. It was initially used solely by dermatologists and pharmacists who used it to treat dry, itchy, and sensitive skin. It became widely available in retail stores in 1975. In 2006 it was purchased by Johnson & Johnson.

Moisturizers -Lubriderm -Daily Moisture Lotion - Fragrance Free

I love this moisturizer. It soaks right in with no heavy residue. It does not cause any breakouts or irritation on my legs or arms. I use it after a bath or shower. It is lightweight and spreads easy. My skin has a nice healthy glow without the greasy feel. I can get dressed shortly after putting it on. It is easy to find and fairly inexpensive. I also use as a hand lotion. If you don't like heavy thick moisturizers, this is worth a try.

Lotions/ Creams -Lubriderm -Daily Moisture Lotion

I have the sensitive version of this lotion, which is fragrance and lanolin free. I like to use this on my face. It sinks right in and doesn't leave a greasy feel. It hydrates a long time and never irritates. Of course, this lotion is also effective as a hand and body moisturizer. Lubriderm is also really affordable. A 16 oz. bottle is under $10.00 dollars. This product doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles some other products might have, but if you're irritated by moisturizers with a lot of actives like I am, this just might be the lotion for you.

Moisturizers -Lubriderm -Daily Moisture Lotion - Normal to Dry Skin - Sensitive

I think Lubriderm Sensitive is going to be a replacement for Lubriderm Fragrance-Free. Currently they're both on the shelves, but Lubriderm Sensitive has a more desirable shelf position, with Lubriderm Fragrance-Free being way down at the bottom shelf. The ingredient list between the two products is somewhat similar, but the newer product doesn't have parabens.

I really like this moisturizer. Most people probably think of it as a body lotion, but I use it on my face. It sinks in fast, and it's not the least bit greasy. The pump style bottle is a plus being more hygienic than a jar. The pump also rotates to open and close the product, so it won't spill. Lubriderm Sensitive is 100% fragrance-free and lanolin-free. It keeps the skin hydrated for a long time without skin irritation. It does contain mineral oil (2nd ingredient) which doesn't bother me, but breaks some people out. It also contains dimethicone (8th ingredient). Normally I can't tolerate silicones, but this is pretty far down on the ingredient list. I haven't had any problems yet.

Did I mention how cheap this stuff is? I paid $9.32 including tax for a 16 oz. bottle. You don't need a lot of product to get the job done. So, a bottle lasts a long time. It's also versatile. I can use this as a face lotion. body lotion, hand lotion, or even hair cream in a pinch. If you're looking for a do-it-all product that doesn't break the bank give this a try. You have nothing to lose.

Lotions/ Creams -Lubriderm -Advanced Therapy Moisturizing Lotion

I'm a big fan of the Aveeno Creamy Moisturizing Oil lotion because I like how it leaves a glow on my skin like an oil but still feels very light and non-sticky. So I was in the grocery store and was going to purchase it but they were out of stock and this one caught my eye because of the similar color scheme of the container (beige and pink). My skin has suffered from New England winter, it was so dry the creases between my fingers and toes have become white. If I apply a lotion, the "whiteness" goes away but as soon as I wash my skin, you bet they're back again.

I decided to try this because of the claim it can "intensely hydrate extra-dry skin" and I was not disappointed. First time I used it, I can already feel the difference and with continued use, it actually healed my winter-dry skin. I know it did because these days when I go out of the shower and don't put on lotion, my skin doesn't look as dry as it did before (no more white creases!)

IMO, the consistency is thicker than the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion (which is also great btw) yetit doesn't feel heavy or greasy and absorbs really well into the skin.

Until I come across something even more awesome, this will be my go-to lotion from now on! =)
