Foundations -Lily Lolo -Mineral Foundation (all shades)

on 9/2/2018 10:59:00 AM

I bought this product because I was reading many positive reviews about it. Unfortunately it couldn't meet my expectations. Despite it is often recommended for acne-prone skin, it doesn't offer full coverage, even getting medium coverage is tricky. It's mixture seems to be very light and it gives a natural finish. So it's a good product for the ones who doesn't have problematic skin.
It also made my skin itchy and it felt "heavy" when I finally got enough layers to cover the spots and redness. Only after few hours it turned cakey and it was like melting into my pores, I coudn't wait until I had a chance to take it off.
Compared to Gosh mineral powder which is three times cheaper than this product, the Gosh powder is easier to put on and it offers better coverage with less layers.

Eye Shadow -Lily Lolo -Mineral Eye Shadow (all shades)

I bought two loose mineral eyeshadows in the shades bronze sparkle and choc fudge cake

Bronze sparkle - is a golden bronze shadow, very bright and shimmery, but not glittery (despite what the name suggests).
I was very suprised with how pigmented and smooth the eyeshadow is and when I apply it I do not get fallout, even without a primer. Once on it's very dimensional and doesn't need any other shadows to look good, It's almost red coppery in the shadow and bright gold where the light hits. it blends out seamlessly without getting dull. I've went on vacation and all I bring is this eyeshadow, it's very summery, pretty and easy to use.

HOWEVER! you do need a good primer, even bordering on a glitter primer as this does crease throughout the day and has no staying power on it's own. It's basically just mica with iron oxides so I'm not suprised. So you shouldn't touch your eyes when you wear this as you'll smudge it around.

Choc fudge cake - a matte warm brown base with purpley-blue microglitter (it's basically a duochrome). The glitter is very small and non-gritty. The shadow is perfect for one shadow looks. The more you blend it, the more matte brown comes forward (probably because you blend the glitter away). It does take some work to blend it out how you want but it's not patchy at all. I do get some fallout when I blend. Usually after blending I apply with a damp brush the shadow on the lid to get some intense purple shine on there. It's very beautiful and has better staying power than the bronze sparkle shadow, but still needs a good primer.

There are some issues with staying power with both shadows, and some fallout with choc fudge cake. However I'm so impressed with the overall smoothness and pigmentation that I'm completely willing to work with it. I do not recognise the comments that say they are dry and lack pigmentation. I think this is definitely not the case with the shimmers (can't speak for the mattes as I haven't tried them)

I will probably purchase one or two more shimmer shades, in the future. If you do want to try a shadow, pick bronze sparkle. It's my favourite shadow I have ever owned, and I own plenty of expensive, high quality shadows.

Powder -Lily Lolo -Mineral Foundation - China Doll

on 4/26/2018 11:39:00 PM

I initially purchased this is Warm Peach and found it a tad too dark. Purchased China Doll and now think maybe I should have gone with Blondie - my complexion looks incredibly washed out and dull in this shade (I've NEVER been able to get a foundation to match me... always too dark or too pink). Aside from that, gives decent coverage with an obviously matte finish. My skin is incredibly oily so it does fade pretty quickly. However you get A TON of product for a good price so its definitely something to give a try.

Bronzers -Lily Lolo -Mineral Bronzer in Bondi Bronze

on 4/18/2018 3:29:00 PM

This is a great natural bronzer. It is a shimmery bronzer, although the shimmers are tiny and they do not transfer to your skin when you apply it. I usually prefer matte bronzers since I have oily skin, but this one looks really great on my skin. If you have a light skin, you need to use a light hand not to overdo it, because it is a dark shade. It has an orange undertone, which might not suit lighter skins, but in my light-medium skin it looks really good.
The product comes as a loose powder, so it may be downside for some people, but for me it is ok. It retails for 18.90 euro/20.30 US dollars for a 8 gr sifter, which lasts for a really long time.
It is vegan friendly and non-comedogenic.

Mascara -Lily Lolo -Mascara

on 2/10/2018 9:28:00 PM

This mascara didn't do much for me. I have oily skin so it did smudged on me. It also flaked like crazy. I am blessed in the lashes department with thick and fairly full lashes and this did nothing for them. In fact, I'm better off with no mascara at all. Hate the wand too. It is much too big. This was my first purchase in the natural mascara market and it may be my last.
