Crème -Lancôme -Absolue Foundation

on 9/23/2018 4:00:00 PM

I wanted a foundation that was going to make my skin look great. I am very fair and Lancome is the only brand that has very light shades as well as that high end quality that I love. In terms of lines and wrinkles, my skin is in very good shape for my age, with no sun damage. Well, this foundation smoothes what lines that I do have and the luminous finish is absolutely gorgeous. All I have to do is use just a very light amount of Lancome pressed powder on the front of my nose and have not had to touch up. It's amazing. When I say "luminous," I don't mean shiny. Obviously; by its formulation, the result leaves my face with a glamorous quality. That's the best way that I can describe it. By the way, I use no moisturizer, primer or sunscreen. You get what you pay for with this foundation.

Mascara -Lancôme -Hypnose Drama

Absolutely terrible product. Clumps my eye lashes together, smells, runs, irritates my eyes, lacks depth of colour, is gluggy. Takes 15 minutes to dry. Lancome what were you thinking?

Eye Shadow -Lancôme -Ombre Hypnose Stylo

I have the 25 platine (pictured above). It is shimmery light taupe. I initially bought it as a base for eyeshadow, but it can be worn alone. You can decrease the shimmer when you put a shadow over it. It goes on very smoothly & creamy. It can be blended out, will set after a few minutes. For my oily lids, it last better than eyeshadow alone for a few hours, but I always use eye primer for anything if I want my eye makeup to last the day. I think the quality is worth the price, I didn’t have any issues with the product, it’s better than drugstore & other brands I’ve tried. I would repurchase in a different color. They were sold out of a few at Sephora.

Liquid -Lancôme -Teint Idole Ultra Liquid 24h Longwear SPF 15 Foundation

I have a love hate relationship with this product. It applies beautifully. It covers pretty much everything and still looks like skin, minimizes pores, looks radiant! The problem is that it starts to get patchy after about 3 hours. I’ve tried with primer, without, with setting spray, without. Pretty much everything to make it work ☹️ By the end of the day this slid off of my oily areas and clung to dry right? Anyway, for $50, not worth it for me! The hg hunt continues!

Mascara -Lancôme -Grandiose

on 9/15/2018 8:31:00 AM

I got a pack of 3 in duty-free of the “Smudge-Proof” version. I was curious to try it because I love the Hypnose Drama and Doll Eyes from this brand, so I was curious to try something I hadn’t before. Compared to those other two, the Grandiose is just okay. It builds decent length and volume, but not enough to warrant that price tag. My HG drugstore mascaras (Pupa Vamp and Bourjois Max Volume) do a FAR, FAR better job in both of those departments. The color is a nice, rich satisfying black. Smudge-proof?! I beg to differ. While the smudging is not extreme, it’s still there, enough to contradict that label. I like the wand, and the different positions I can hold it to get to the root of the lashes and the inner corner. That wand is indeed a great concept and the size is perfect to give place to maneuver and manicure your lashes. But the end result is not as impressive as other mascaras from Lancôme or other brands, so I wouldn’t repurchase.
