Moisturizers -La Roche-Posay -Toleriane Ultra Soothing Face Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin

on 5/19/2019 11:17:00 AM

Caused clogged pores. I have combination skin with a tendency to dehydration and sensitivity. Bought this to counteract dryness from retinoids. The first two weeks, I saw great results. Really extraordinarily great: my skin was supple, even-toned, had a lovely glow and felt overall healthy. I even got compliments, which otherwise never happens. Unfortunately I soon discovered blackheads all over, even on cheeks and temples where I usually don’t get them. They disappeared as I discontinued use.

Moisturizers -La Roche-Posay -Toleriane Riche Soothing Protective Cream

I have sensitive acne prone skin and usually use toleriane ultra which agrees with me. Decided to try this for more hydration with no success. Made my skin more dry and also caused itch and redness. Be careful if you have very sensitive skin.

Cleansers -La Roche-Posay -Toleriane Caring Wash

on 5/18/2019 10:38:00 AM

I've tried basically every drugstore shelf facial cleanser (Olay, Aveeno, Neutrogena, Cerave, Simple, etc. etc. etc.) and have decided that they are just not suitable for my needs anymore. They are too harsh, they have too much perfume, I get eventual red patches, and so on. I decided to try this mid-price cleanser made in France. The name is a bit audacious: "Caring Wash"! Wow, will this store-bought product really "care" about me?? Maybe it does! There is only one essential cleaning ingredient (surfectant): COCOBETAINE 2730 is known to be well tolerated by adults, children and babies. To first try it out, I bought a small sample kit containing this wash, moisturizer and face mist, and after 2 weeks, my face likes this line a lot. It is like a gel-cream and does not foam up, which I prefer. I found a 400ml bottle at $28 CAD at London Drugs. Because I'm using Retin A and retinols, I need a gentle, non-stripping cleanser. THIS IS IT. My face is indeed calmer with no tightness from being overstripped and no red patches. My beauty belief is to have great skin not covered up with foundation and this cleanser supports my skin care regime. Highly recommend if you're using Retin A and retinols.

Moisturizers -La Roche-Posay -Toleriane Double Repair Moisturizer

on 5/14/2019 5:05:00 AM

On my second tube. It has no smell at all. I use this because I feel like I stripped my skin down in the past by using the wrong products and it could use a chance to build back up a barrier. This product claims to do that. I can't say for sure if it has?? It does sting for just for a second if you have an irritation or blemish but does not contribute to any redness and does not irritate my skin further.. It's not a super rich moisturizer and I sometimes follow with Embryolisse Lait Cream I will keep using this product. Overall my skin does appear to be healthier.

Sunscreen -La Roche-Posay -Anthelios 60 Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid

on 5/12/2019 10:00:00 PM

I have oily skin and reapply sunscreen several times a day. I purchased this at my local Target and was looking forward to using it based on other reviews. However, this leaves a very weird powdery white residue that settled in lines on my face. This is very odd given this is a chemical sunscreen. I basically looked like I was dying.
