Treatments (Face) -LUSH -Full of Grace Serum Bar

I didn't think I could like a night treatment more than mizon snail sleeping pack, but I do. Doesn't break me out, leaves me with soft moisturized skin. Way less packaging, no artificial fragrance. A+. it's a little pricey, I might try to make my own someday, but that's my only complaint.

Deodorants -LUSH -Aromaco Deodorant

There’s a lot of good things. It’s cheap at about $3.50 CAN per 50 g (comparable to drugstore deodorants and anti-perspirants), long-lasting, natural and safe ingredients, etc. However, there’s a big, fat issue with Aromaco… it’s the smell.

At the LUSH store, the deodorant smelled like nothing to me. I believe there were 3 types of deodorants but I chose Aromaco because it smelled the least. Don’t get me wrong - I love scented products, but I don’t want to smell like tea tree oil. I understand the use for the oil - it kills bacteria to prevent odour, but I think LUSH could’ve done a better job adding additional ingredients to make Aromaco smell good.

Aside from the scent, the product works well. Awkward to apply, but goes on smoothly and evenly. There’s no packaging for the product, so I purchased a LUSH tin - a rip-off at $4.00. I’d suggest buying a tin from the dollar store - it does the job. I was worried about experiencing “detox” symptoms. I know people sometimes experience rashes or odour after transitioning to natural deodorants. I had no issues whatsoever. I used it for a while before throwing it out because I couldn’t tolerate the scent any longer. Currently, I’m using Lavanila’s deodorants and they work amazingly. It’s a little pricey - but lasts forever, smells amazing, comes with packaging and has none of those unnatural, harmful ingredients. I highly-recommend it to anyone looking for a good natural deodorant!

The bottom line is, I hate Aromaco because of the scent. There’s all the great qualities about the product including its low-price, longevity, natural ingredients, etc., but the tea tree oil is a turn-off for me. I won’t repurchase this product.

Cleansers -LUSH -Ultra Bland Facial Cleanser

Yes, it took me FOREVER to give this a go, but I finally ran out of my usual makeup removers and decided to give this cult classic a try. Only 10 ingredients, 8 natural and 2 “safe synthetics” are a big selling feature for me. As is the fact that it’s cruelty free. I opt for cleansing balms because I like the facial massage at the end of the day when I’m removing my makeup. It took some getting used to but it’s worth the effort. What is different with this one is that it doesn’t emulsify like a typical balm or oil, likely because of the beeswax in it however; placing a steamy hot/warm flannel on my face after I massage it in for a bit and then rub away the residue, which I have come to really enjoy, it’s like a mini spa treatment every night. I do follow up with another “regular” cleanser afterward but my skin does feel great after using this product. I’m converted, this is now my makeup remover of choice.

Powders -LUSH -Silky Underwear Dusting Powder

I got 2.1 oz for $10.95 at a LUSH store and bought this in order to protect my thighs. My thighs tends to get sweaty and rub together when I decide to wear a dress or short shorts in the summer and IT HURTS. One time, it actually rubbed so much that it caused scarring. That's when I decided that I needed a solution, so I read about this dusting powder. Yeah it's a little boujee, but I am a Lushie and the name caught my eye. It has a lovely, light scent that doesn't give me an instant headache and comes in a plastic bottle with a black cap. The packaging is a little weird for a powder product, but I just pour the tiniest amount on my hand and clap my hands together and then apply to my inner thighs. It keeps the sweat away keeps my thick thighs from chaffing. I really like this!

Lotions/ Creams -LUSH -Dream Cream

i had great results with dream cream in the past and so i decided to repurchase recently after a long long time. It is still every bit good as i remember. It is absolutely brilliant as a body lotion. It nourished my skin without leaving it tacky and oily. I had been looking for a face cream as well but i was skeptical as i have tried both celestial and Imperialis in the past and both broke me out. So the SA suggested Vanishing Cream and gave me a small sample. i tried vanishing cream for 2 days but realized that it quickly disappeared into my skin and i didn't feel as if it really moisturized. So i started to use Dream Cream as my nightly face cream. I am blown away by how well it works. I only use the tiniest amount. It sinks in quickly and leave my skin plump and moisturized. And for reference, my skin is a schizophrenic combination type. Some parts are superrrr oily and some parts are sahara-dry. It works superbly for me. So don't be put off by comments of people claiming it is too rich for the face. You only need the smallest possible amount.
I also find myself puzzled at the claims of Dream Cream smelling really bad. Its downright baffling. I think it smells wonderful. Nothing cloying or artificial..just a mild herbal mix of lavender and oatmeal. Then again, i also loveee the smell of AOBS which alot of people also complain about.
All in all, i absolutely love dream cream and have decanted part of my huge tub into a smaller Lush pot for use on the face while using the rest as a body lotion. Makes it worth every buck as i don't need to fork out another small fortune for a tiny 45ml pot of moisturizer.
