Toners -L'Oreal Paris -Fine Flowers Toner

i have sensitive hormonal reactive skin

pros:
- cleanses skin without drying
- gel like consistency lends to lasting longer/less product use
- rather inexpensive for the quantity in the bottle
- easy to find in shops

cons:
- heavily fragranced
- could be problematic if used on skin sensitive to glycerin and fragrance
- the flip top lid is not very well constructed
- may be too harsh on truly dry sensitive skin types

i started using this toner in the mornings after showering and in the evenings, to finish cleansing. it pulls any residue off without stripping the skin, it balances out the drying affect from stridex pad use, and works well with my moisturisers. normally i'm not a fan of fragranced skin products at all; they can be irritating but i found using Simple brand toner was actually very harsh in between Stridex pad treatments so i took the plunge on this one. i will say that it somehow manages to keep my skin bright and, in conjunction with my moisturiser, helps makeup settle beautifully. as the weather continues to get cooler i notice more benefits from this toner. when used in the evenings i wake up to noticeably clearer brighter skin.

still waiting to see how long this bottle lasts and how it performs as the weather changes. the fragrance can be cloying to those who are sensitive.

Mascara -L'Oreal Paris -Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara

This mascara has the potential to be a clumpy mess. I always wipe all excess product off the wand before use. I've also noticed that some mascaras work best when you really work the wand inbetween all the lashes from root to tip, and others work best lightly swept over the lashes just enough to coat. The latter method has amazing results for me with this one. I do two coats. I do notice a teensy bit more length with BTS, if you're comparing, but I have no smudging with this one like I do with Too Faced. I JUST LOVE YOU, LASH PARADISE.

It does dry out quickly, but if it works better than other mascaras at twice the price, then it still ends up being a better value, in my opinion.

Brows -L'Oreal Paris -Brow Stylist Prep & Shape Pro Kit

I needed a brow product and decided to try this. I bought the Medium to Dark Brown shade; i have very dark brown hair & eyes (Asian). This color works perfectly for me. It stays on all thru my shift and wears nicely. I like the straigthtforward simple compact as well—packaging matters to me. I looked at the Benefit brow products but i cannot handle their packaging as it looks and feels visually clutter-y to me. Not as many shades as ABH but this was a great color match for me. Glad i tried this.

Moisturizers -L'Oreal Paris -Revitalift Bright Reveal Brightening SPF 30 Moisturizer

I like this formula for my mature combo skin, in that it absorbs like a dream and doesn't feel overly heavy, and has a broad-specturm SPF 30. My only gripe is that you don't get a lot of product for the money (and it's a DS product). I went through this bottle so fast I thought I was losing my mind. I used three pumps on my clean face in the morning: face, neck and chest. It sank in instantly, which is what you want, right? Has a very mild citrusy fresh scent that didn't irritate.and it softened on contact, but I'm on a budget right now and it's just a little bit pricey for me. The bottle is rectangular shaped and the top doesn't come off, so I can't tell if there is a lot of product on the walls of the bottle or clinging to the pump tube. But it's a great product.

Hair Color -L'Oreal Paris -Excellence Creme Blonde Supreme in Lightest Ash Blonde

I'm quite impressed with this hair color. I put my hair through hell recently- removed very dark brown (close to black) in efforts to get closer to my natural medium/light brown hair, and, of course, that left me with a lot of orange hues- that was expected, but was still annoying.
I didn't want to end up dark brown again, actually wanted to have lighter ends. The idea of bleaching didn't sound great for many reasons- more orange, more dryness, more maintenance, so after doing some research I decided to give this high lift color a try. I'm actually very impressed with the results- I didn't get the color on the box, of course, because my hair was previously colored and was at level 5 or 6, but it lightened my strands noticeably, and since it is so creamy, I was able to create very seamless transition from darker roots to lighter ends (I applied to ends first, then a bit higher after some time, and then I used darker shade for roots separately), kept it on for 45-60 minutes. Now I have dark blonde/light brown hair with zero orange, just a bit of gold (not yellow), ashy tone. Very happy with the results, and thrilled this fixed my orange situation without any additional toning, I even want to use it again to get even lighter.
My waist-long hair doesn't look or feel damaged either, which is a miracle since it was chemically tortured, and lightening always weakens hair. I added the protein protectant that comes in the box straight to the dye-developer mix instead of trying to coat my hair with it.
This hair color is a good option for those with brown hair, who want to go a couple of shades lighter without battling orange. I suspect, best results would be on virgin hair, if your hair is colored dark, you will first need to remover the color, because dye doesn't lift dye.
