Lipstick -L'Oreal -Colour Riche in Fairest Nude

I just started exploring nude lippies. Yes I'm a little late in the game seeing how long they've been trending, but I'm pale and cool toned so I always felt discouraged in finding one that doesn't look like dirt on my skin tone. I was intrigued by this one because everyone describes it differently online. I would call this one a brown with pink undertones on my very fair cool toned skin, but it's still on the fair side. It is as brown as I can possibly go for my complexion though! I like that it's a "true nude" on me, but I still have to wrap my head around the idea of me wearing a nude so it's going to take me some time to warm up to this one.

Foundations -L'Oreal -Infallible Total Coverage

on 6/20/2018 7:51:00 PM

The colours are limited in this range. I use the darkest available in the UK, Coca I think and the next one lighter Almond.

The dark one has a red undertone and is too red / deep for my my skin tone. The Almond is a huge jump in shade range...has a yellow to neutral undertone. It is too light for my skin tone. In the UK you can not return unmatched makeup. So you have to be all in if there are no testers.

So I mix up little tester pots of the 2 shades, as I have different under tones on my face, so 2 pots. Red - golden around my mouth and outer perimeter of face and under cheek bones. Neutral to yellow (in the summer months) on my forehead, nose, cheek bones. This way I also do not need to separately highlight and contour as I am lazy. I used a little moisturiser to thin it out in the pots, as the product is way too thick, this allows me to use my fingers to pat it on. This way it takes off the grey cast from my sunscreen. I also use a little powder on top and I have a natural looking base that I am happy with.

A lot of work for a product of this type, but I have found a way of using it up so a win. As for mattifying? Because I mix it with moisturiser I feel I can not comment. As for full coverage, well I do not need full coverage, but the pigmentation in this product is dense so can take a little dilution.

No I wouldn't but again due to shade range, if they had colours in my shade I might as the price is accessible for me to buy the 2 undertone shades I need. (Works out as £20 for the 2, the price of a mid range foundation).

Cleansers -L'Oreal -Age Perfect Micellar Water

on 6/20/2018 7:07:00 PM

L'Oreal Age Perfect Micellar Water for Mature Skin. (Gold cap) 400ml for £3 - £6 depending on deals.

I use micellar water as a AM 1st cleanse and a PM 2nd cleanse. I have transferred to a foam pump bottle and use it as a face wash, whereby I rinse with water.

This is so gentle, doesn't sting my eyes and my skin is not stripped afterward. I wear water resistant SS and base makeup most days, so using this micellar water on its own is not enough. Unless I use plenty of product and cotton rounds, which I have reusable cotton rounds and I don't want the extra laundry frankly.

It has glycerin, panthenol, allantoin and hydronated castor oil, otherwise it has the same base ingredients as Garnier Pink Cap, which I find is a little drying in comparison. Both are fragerance free.

The negative is that it isn't cruelty free as I don't go out of my way for cruel products. However my skin sensitivities and wallet also strong influencers.

400ml would last me approx 4mths of use, but my 10yo son has also been using it. I RP today as I had only a few uses left.

Just because it says mature skin I would ignore, unless you have mature skin. The packaging is great but the whole in the cap can make you use more product than you need. Huge bottle though.

I live in hard water London UK and my skin type is Normal to Oily (it is in the 20's C regularly recently); prone to dehydration and acne; sensitive to certain ingredients and/or formulations.

Polishes -L'Oreal -Color Riche Le Vernis A LâHuile - Dimanche Après Midi

on 6/20/2018 9:25:00 AM

I bought this when visiting Canada and have never seen it offered here in the US. I'm just finishing the bottle now and will miss having this colour and formula. It is a beautiful pale pink with white undertones, and the coverage is very good with it having a very thick formulation. It also applies well and the bottle design (cubed glass with gold top) is excellent quality for a drugstore brand.

2)It doesn’t dry out skin and lasts forever and gives medium coverage nothing too heavy
3)Blushes And bronzers all work well with it and it dosnt oxidise.
4)the finish is FLAWLESS and it gives your skin a very HEALTHY glow like you have been eating healthy or something
