Mascara -L'Oreal Paris -Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara

on 4/22/2019 8:51:00 AM

I have extremely long natural eyelashes (go ahead, hate me) but they are very fair and therefore need a deep colour, low clump mascara. I usually avoid anything with the word “volume” in it - I need definition, not volume - but the plastic brush is great at separating lashes. The thin tip makes it easier to get those corner lashes as well. Mostly, I love that it’s super easy to find in the mornings because of its shiny gold colour 😅 Much easier than the standard black tube.

Lipstick -L'Oreal Paris -Colour Riche Lipstick - British Red

on 4/20/2019 12:18:00 PM

My mom had this in the 80s/ early 90s when it was called British Red Coat, and I used to sneak it on from time to time, sometimes topping it off with L’Oreal’s “X-Rated” gloss. I remember it being more pink, but this was easily 30 years ago, and maybe the shade was changed a bit along with the name. Commercial food stylists apparently favored this shade for strawberries, and that sounds about right. It is *such* a rich, beautiful red, with both orange and pink tones (on me, anyway, NC15) depending on the light and which blush and foundation I have on. This reminds me quite a bit of Chanel Rouge Coco in Arthur, in both color and texture, but this is a deeper and less tomato-y red. The formula for British Red is also much better- it has a gel-like shine and is not “slippy”; it clings nicely to the lips. The $5.99- $9.99 USD price tag doesn’t hurt, either. Like all of the gold-tubed Colour Riche non-matte lipsticks, it is too emollient for lip pencil, so keep that in mind. Oh, and I happen to L O V E the smell; some say “Play-Doh” (a great smell, tbh!), but to me it’s more of a powdery violet-rose. French and beautiful.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal Paris -Infallible Gel Lacquer Liner in Espresso

on 4/19/2019 10:07:00 AM

First off the color is a dark brown in the jar but it goes on super dark...almost black. It was creamy and easy to use but it migrated and got messy within an hour...definitely wouldn't last 24hrs...

Skincare -L'Oreal Paris -Pure Clay Detoxify and Brighten Cleanser

on 4/19/2019 2:40:00 AM

While this cleanser does a good job at getting your face clean w/out drying it out. There’s a more efficacious way to use this then just wetting your hands and washing. Btw, this doesn’t emulsify too much. It almost has a mask like texture. Anyway, apply this with dry hands to a dry face. Give it a couple of minutes then wet it massage into face and rinse. I found this product to work better with this technique. Only my opinion!!

Mascara -L'Oreal Paris -Voluminous Original Mascara - Burgundy

on 4/18/2019 1:51:00 PM

I love colored mascara, and this one is very nice, without being too bright. It really looks more brown than burgundy on the lashes, unless you are in bright light or outdoors. Performs well, I usually use a primer and a few coats, haven’t had any problems with smudging or flaking. I’d buy it again.
