Masks -L'Oreal -Pure Clay Detox & Brighten Mask

on 1/17/2018 9:28:00 AM

After just one use, this mask got me rid of three very stubborn pimples that have been resurfacing on my forehead for weeks. It could be a coincidence, technically, but I'm 99% sure it was because of the mask.
But, enough about those particular pimples (burn in hell, little suckers, I won't miss you!). After using this, my skin feels clean, soft and brighter and my pores appear visibly smaller, even some really large ones on my nose. It takes a surprisingly small amount of product to cover the whole face. Also, unlike a lot of clay masks that feel too rough and abrasive against the skin while you wash them off, this one feels creamy and gentle.
Keep in mind this product has a rather strong smell. I personally don't mind it and even find it pleasant but I can see how it could be off putting for people with more sensitive noses.

Mascara -L'Oreal -Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara

I promised myself I’d be faithful to Urban Decay Perversion, but I am a serial adulteress when it comes to mascara. I just can’t help wondering if there’s something better out there - if there really is such a thing as The One. I have kissed a lot of frogs and found a few...barons and earls and such, if not actually a prince (after Estée Lauder killed my true love in the 90s). This isn’t a frog. I can’t remember how it came to my attention, but it was on offer for about £5 and I thought the packaging was cute. The tube is super light and excellent for travelling (one lives in my handbag for emergencies). The brush is soft and brushy, not a horrid scratchy plastic thing, and separates my lashes really nicely. The formula itself is great to apply, suitably black, slightly on the drier side, and gives a feathery look that’s still natural(ish). I don’t know what would happen if you started slapping hundreds of coats on, because I’m still partially trapped in 1990 (come on, Violator, if nothing else) and get twitchy about more than one coat for daytime. It’s a brilliant work mascara, almost weightless to wear and doesn’t smudge or flake. My only criticism would be that a tube doesn’t last me very long - I’m guessing it’s light cos it’s half empty.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal -super liner silkissime waterproof eyeliner 24H

on 1/15/2018 11:57:00 PM

I have this in black and it is very nice. I love black eyeliner, my gateway drug into this makeup life was eyeliner and mascara. This applies and wears like a $20 eyeliner and it isn’t. I use this to tightline mostly but have used it on the upper lash line and it does not smudge in either place. This past week I have been doing my favorite everyday look which is a full matte base but no eyeshadow. Then I put on lashes and tightline with this for those mysterious eyes. Wears like iron on me and comes off pretty easy. Gives more playtime than the Milani one before it sets but the Milani is my love as well. Will continue to purchase.

Mascara -L'Oreal -Voluminous Million Lashes

HG product! Basically the only mascara I've used for a few years now (waterproof version). I've found that other mascaras tend to fall throughout the day giving me a raccoon look but this one stays in place all day and gives me a very natural but noticeable look. Yes, it is a little more expensive than other drug store mascaras but if you compare that to higher end mascaras this is a steal

Concealers -L'Oreal -Infallible Pro Glow Concealer

I've been using this concealer since I first discovered it this past summer, and it's quickly become my favourite every day concealer. The coverage is a bit sheer so sometimes I have to layer it with another concealer or a color corrector underneath if my dark circles are particularly bad that day. It's lightweight, blends beautifully, and holds up really well. Never cakes or accentuates fine lines, just really flattering light coverage that brightens up under the eyes. Love it. It may be worth mentioning, however, that around the time this concealer launched, I watched tons of reviews on this concealer, and there were a few beauty gurus who claimed this burned under their eyes. I did not experience anything of the sort....apparently there is alcohol in the formula which is probably what causes the irritation for some people...so if you have sensitive skin or eyes that's something you should be aware of. Another thing worth mentioning is the color range is really lame. I use the fair shade and it's pretty dark. I strongly suggest you use one shade lighter than you normally would....and if you're super fair-sorry there's nothing here for you...😢
