Mascara -L'Oreal Paris -Voluminous Original Mascara - Burgundy

on 4/18/2019 1:51:00 PM

I love colored mascara, and this one is very nice, without being too bright. It really looks more brown than burgundy on the lashes, unless you are in bright light or outdoors. Performs well, I usually use a primer and a few coats, haven’t had any problems with smudging or flaking. I’d buy it again.

Pressed Powders -L'Oreal Paris -Paris Infallible Pro-Matte 16HR Powder

on 4/18/2019 1:43:00 PM

I was feeling too lazy to drive to Ulta, and grabbed this in 100 at the drugstore, after reading it was a makeup artist’s favorite. I will never, ever again spend $30 - $60 on face powder, or at least I won’t for as long as they make this. I do beleive it’s one of the nicest and most well performing powders I have ever used.

I have normal skin, not dry, not oily, and like a somewhat matte look. I apply it with a brush in the AM over tinted moisturizer, and rarely have to do a touch up. It gives a beautiful, even finish, doesn’t look dry or caked, the color doesn’t change, it doesn’t settle into fine lines, and it lasts all day. For $12.99. Unbelievable.

I’m thinking about trying the shimmery version too, maybe to use as a highlighter. Just can’t say enough nice things about this stuff. Highly recommended.

Foundations -L'Oreal Paris -Infallible Pro-Glow 24HR Foundation

on 4/17/2019 11:52:00 PM

I've been wearing this for a few months and absolutely love it. Recently on a long flight the woman sitting next to me kept sneaking looks my way. As we were landing she struck up a conversation with me, she apologized for staring at me throughout the flight then said she thought my skin looked fantastic...like baby skin she said. I owed it all to this foundation which, for me gives a beautiful flawless natural glow. Plus it wore perfectly through an eight hour flight.

Foundations -L'Oreal Paris -Infallible 24H Stay Fresh Foundation

I've read amazing things about this foundation, got so excited that bought two bottles, since I wear it everyday and because L'oreal has never let me down before. However, in 3 weeks the foundation completely wrecked my skin and I've never had problems like this before. My skin was never sensitive or anything, but it broke me out on the cheek area and my forehead, which are places I've never had acne before. Plus, the foundation makes my pores very evident and large. The only good part is that it doesn't really oxidize on my skin and it's the closest I've found for my complexion. But now I'm trying a hundred different products to try to get my skin back to what it was.

Mascara -L'Oreal Paris -Extra Volume Collagen Mascara (All Shades)

on 4/14/2019 10:57:00 PM

My eyelashes are fairly sparse and tragic looking, so every couple of years I buy mascara, hoping to find one that won't be a smear under my eyes by the end of the day, or clump and make it look like I have three eyelashes. This is a lot harder than you'd think--I've tried cheap mascaras, expensive ones, and everything in between, and most are very disappointing. However, this one is surprisingly good: no clumping, no smudging, lengthens and plumps. It does flake a bit by the end of the day, but I can live with that since it's not noticeable like smudging or smearing. I like the brush--it separates the lashes and puts on the right amount. It's also easily removed with no tugging. Now, I like to use a light hand, and I don't apply multiple coats, so this stuff is fine for me. I did try a second coat once out of curiosity and it clumped a bit, so I might not recommend if you like a buildable formula. But for my needs, I think I've found something that actually works, and doesn't break the bank (*cough*Benefit*cough*).
