This is my go-to neutral matte palette – and I love it. The formula is smooth, shades are super opaque, and all shades blend like a dream. I have never had an issue of similar colors “mudding” together, which is a major plus. I typically use this palette for easy daily looks, but if I want to step it up a notch I simply grab a more glimmer shade and pop it on top – I can take this from day to eve in a snap. While there is some kick-up with these, they apply smooth and I do not find any emphasis in texture. I find it’s a great deal for the price.

This is my favorite “grab and go” face palette, and I think its priced very well for all you get. Both Sombre and Shadowplay work for me as contour shades, while Subconscious (the darkest contour shade) is a great all over eye shadow or for crease. The highlight shades, which are subtle, and double as eye shades. I love that it is now refillable – or, alternatively, one can simply purchase shades that work for you and place into another palette. While there is some kick-up with these, they apply smooth and I do not find any emphasis in texture. It's also vegan and cruelty free, which is a major plus.

Normally I would not consider purchasing a quad, particularly when it costs $26 at full price. However, this was on sale for $15 so I took the opportunity to snag one. The shades inside are beautiful, very pigmented, and suit me well. The shadows are easy to apply and blend and they last a long time without fading. Unfortunately, I believe the quads are being discontinued so I will have to look elsewhere for similar colors in the future. Were this not the case I would consider repurchasing even with the hefty price tag.

I don't know if the new Kat Von D Metal Crush Highlighter Extreme actually fits so much into the highlighter category. This highlighter is more glitter and sparkle than a real true glow. While there is nothing wrong with glitter and sparkle this one is a bit too much for me personally. I would perfer to use this on my eyes instead of cheeks but this ends up in my eyes. The formula is decent, although if you don't apply this with a good primer you might end up with sparkles everywhere, which usually isn't the best look. Although I can see how for special occasions, or a night on the town, you could probably make good use of the new Kat Von D Metal Crush Highlighter Extreme. My video review can be seen here:

I picked up the mini set that has Mother in an Everlasting Liquid Lipstick and a limited edition Studded Kiss. The Studded Kiss formula goes on matte, so I fully expected my lips to be parched after 8-ish hours of wear. Not so! It's a surprisingly creamy matte and doesn't transfer that much -- I barely needed to re-apply throughout the day Suffice it to say, Mother is gorgeous, vibrant blue-toned pink, almost verging on a berry. Looks stunning on cool undertones, but I feel like anyone can pull this color off, regardless of skin tone.
