This is a review for the IS Clinical Youth Complex. I purchased this in desperation, after causing a very dry and peeling skin situation with a Tatcha cleansing oil. My asthetician suggested I try this. At $130 I was REALLY desperate. I am amazed at the results. Within days of 2 X a day application, my skin is smooth, soft and the tightness and flaking are about gone. I have never seen a skin care product work this well to hydrate and smooth. It is perfect under foundation, and does not seem to interfere with the products. I am going to continue to use this twice a day and re-evaluate when the product is gone, which is about 30 days. I am thinking this might be a HG product, at least for me.

This is a very good cleanser. It truly does get off all makeup effortlessly. However, on my finicky skin, it was irritating (left my cheeks red) and drying. My husband had no issue. If you are super sensitive, this may or may not work for you.

I love this serum, but it has to be used in a specific way. It doesn’t work at all applied to dry skin in a dry atmosphere and will dry skin out more/irritate etc. There’s a really high Hyaluronic acid (HA) content and HA is a humectant - it wants, needs, loves moisture and water. If you live in a humid climate you’re going to get the water, but if it’s winter, skin is dry and the air is dry - where will the HA get its water? Potentially from the deeper layers of your skin, reducing in increased dryness! After cleansing and toning face, I use a cloth/face halo to ensure all skin is really damp/wet and then apply a few drops of the serum. It’s rapidly absorbed so I do 2 drops forehead, pat/rub in - drop on each cheek, pat in, drop on chin - pat in. Grab fluid/light moisturiser (containing water - I use either La Roche-Posay Toleriane Ultra Fluid Sensitive Skin, or Simple hydrating light moisturiser) and quickly apply over the top (whilst it’s all still damp). If there’s a delay applying my moisturiser for some reason - I re-pat my face with the face halo or use a water mist to dampen the hydra gel, then apply. For a big moisture boost create a steamy bathroom, get to the hydra-gel stage and then have a soak in the bath to allow it to suck up some, then apply moisturiser when you get out (before leaving the humid room). If your bedroom is dry, consider getting a personal humidifier for night to keep the moisture coming.

Let me start buy saying I don’t have acne - so can’t comment on this as an acne solution. I have combination skin that’s oily in summer and dry in winter yet always has a few blackheads, a couple of large pores and occasional hormonal pimples (both cystic and white head), little bumps under some part of skin on my cheeks so can often feel “textured”, also prone to fine lines because of the dehydration/dryness in winter and occasional flaky patches. To those who say they had a breakout within a few days of using this - yes, that’s exactly what will happen in my experience. Spots and blackheads are formed around 2 weeks or more before we see them on the skin - so they’re already there when you started the serum.I found around 48 hours after using, I had heaps of blackheads near the surface, large visible pores - yet all in the places I’m prone to getting them normally ie tzone and chin. The rest of my skin when rubbed with a fingertip felt amazingly soft and smooth. 48 hours later there wasn’t a blackhead to be seen, enlarged congested pores are gone, bumps under skin are gone, dry patches are gone... my skin is sooo smooth and soft I keep stroking it!I use this in conjunction with the hydra gel, which is also fantastic for my skin, plus a light moisturiser on top in winter (not the IS Clinical range at the moment).

Pros: The most phenomenal moisturizer out there. Plumps skin. No allergens. Great for dry skin, rosacea, acne, a few lines, works.Cons: v expensive. purchased through their site dermatologists office or a plastic surgery center, so u can’t just run into Nordstrom and grab another. expensive. you can’t see when ur running out. One day it jst doesn’t pump so I’d suggest counting how many pumps you get out of ur first one. I’m confident you’ll buy a second if u can stand the price the whole line is amazing. This is for the IsClinical youth complex
