Well, it looked SO Beautiful, had RAVE reviews, I coveted it for months....finally broke down and bought it.I tried it, tried it again, and again and again! Wanted SO much to love this beautiful looking and packaged beauty! But....I am 62 years old, and I am telling you now, it has a very limited usage factor for this old broad! Too shiny, too in your face....I use it in my eyelid crease more than anywhere else. But that's not really why I bought it....For me, as Beautiful as it is, and how lovely it would be on younger skin, it just ain't pulling through for me. This one was not my best pick. That said I must re-iterate, that it is a beautiful well made and good product, just didn't work for me.

Huda Beauty's Mini Obsessions palette in Mauve contains nine powder eyeshadows. Five shades are matte [burgundy, neutral taupe, muted medium red, muted deep plum & light warm beige], three shades are shimmers [medium coral, light peach & medium pinky red] and one shade has a satin finish [deep red].I'm really into this more compact type of palette now, where the vast majority of the shades are focused around a theme; a palette that doesn't waste lots of it's space (and therefore our money) by including several of the same kind of basic highlight/crease/transition shades that the average makeup lover already has many times over - I'm sure that we all have plenty of neutral shades that we love in other palettes, that we can use in conjunction with this palette to make it go further. The mattes in the Mauve palette are on another level from the ones in Huda's first eyeshadow palette [the Rose Gold palette]. I'd say that they're more similar to the ones in her recent large palette [Desert Dusk] release; buttery smooth, mega easy to blend, great to mix together to create new shades and they have next to no fallout. The shimmer shades feel exactly like the mattes do formula-wise. All of the shadows are non-fading, and I haven't experienced any creasing - I apply them in the morning [no primer] and they'll still look good in the evening, when I remove it. The metallic shades have a bit more fallout in comparison to the other shadows which have very little, which isn't a dealbreaker for me but I still thought I'd mention it. Fallout in shadows doesn't really bother me as I do my eyes before my base - all pigmented & softer shadows have fallout, so I do think that all good-quality shadows should kick-up a bit. Any disappointments? There are two 'basic' matte shades in the palette, which I think is a waste of space as this is meant to be themed around a single colour and with only nine product pans to fill different shades should have been used, as most makeup wearers have a dozen taupe and beige shades already. Speaking of the theme; I think that Huda should have called this 'berry' or 'rouge' obsessions. There are only nine shades in the palette, but the pricing is reasonable enough to excuse this, especially considering the great product quality. Just a quick price comparison for those scoffing at the small compact size [it's around the size of a MAC/Dior/Chanel-type quad]; you are getting 10g of product in this 9-pan palette for £25 and just 8g in a £43 ABH 14-pan palette. I enjoy this product, but if I lost it I wouldn't bother to rebuy it - Huda is late to the party with this palette, as it seems like every brand has done their take on rouge/pink/mauve tones, so I have too many similar shades too want to bother getting this again. However If you love this kind of shade range and don't want a larger, more pricey palette, then I still recommend looking into Mauve Obsessions.

So, I have a few, and most honestly, mainly because I adore nice packages so I bought lip tins. Anyways, the drying takes much longer than stated, if you eat, better go get a new layer because it is not there anymore and I hate it when I kiss my husband because I do own liquid mattes that dry and I can kiss my husband without his lips having my lipstick color. I think there are better formulas in formulation it self, application and hydration of lips because I hate that feeling that I could easily peel a layer of my skin how dry it becomes during time. Oh, and do remember, whatever color you see on the pictures, you will not get it! I have a feeling colors where just like "photoshop images" of what she saw it in a software what they are gonna look like and they do not look like that.I think all her products are hyped even though I really wanted to like all of them. And I really had some bad experiences on her sites. Sorry Huda but you should step up your game outside the frames you are in right now.Guys and girls, ask if you need any more details.

Again, I think that is the thing with all Huda beauty: a lot of hype. Some shades you really have to apply with fingers( rose gold, 24K), but really some colors I have a feeling would look good only on my 8 year old niece. And the packaging looks cheap compared to the price tag. However, I do use it in combo with my other palettes and some shades are definitely staying in the pot until I trash it.

I really do love some shades, however, some are really not my thing. And I do not think it comes to the expectations. And also I really want to emphasise the fact that Huda really sells at high prices and the whole packaging does not live up to the expectations. And I already see I will use some of the shades and some will really remain full. I am not that critic to that, I know all of us can not have the same taste.
