Lipstick -Huda Beauty -Metallic Power Bullet lipstick - NYE

on 12/15/2018 3:03:00 PM

Huda Beauty have just released their first bullet lipsticks with a metallic finish for the holiday season; NYE is a vampy currant red shade, with a hard-to-describe formula that's a "revolutionary mix of multi-reflective glitter, kaleidoscopic pearl pigments and iridescent shimmer creates an incredible high-impact 3D finish like you’ve never experienced before". I've found the formula softer and smoother than my previous experience with metallic lipsticks, so I'd say it's like a creamy glitter formula, minus the grit and mess usually associated with glitter infused formulas. I happily wear the other two lipsticks in this range during the day without feeling overdone as the shades are more fun, but NYE is stronger and more of a power shade that I find a bit too much for 'everyday' things. It is stunning for special occasions though - I don't usually care for darker shades as my mouth is fairly small and my upper lip is thin, so they can end up looking like slashes on my face, but something about this just works.

The formula has Brazilian nut oil and sweet almond oil in it, so it feels soft and creamy and glides on easily. Being so creamy means that it will need touching up every several hours, although it does stain lips a bit, so some colour does cling - I like this so don't count it as a negative, but if you don't like staining lip products, then this lippie isn't for you. The rectangular tube is nice, as you can leave it on your dresser etc without it rolling away The only thing about this lippie that I don't like is the shape of the bullet as it doesn't suit my lip shape, so is not the smoothest application - but after a few uses it becomes more rounded, so it is not a dealbreaker for me since that issue soon disappears.

Lipstick -Huda Beauty -Metallic Power Bullet Lipstick - Cake Day

Huda Beauty have just released their first bullet lipsticks with a metallic finish for the holiday season; Cake Day is a magenta pink formula, with a "revolutionary mix of multi-reflective glitter, kaleidoscopic pearl pigments and iridescent shimmer creates an incredible high-impact 3D finish like you’ve never experienced before"... Umm yeah, what she said - it's softer and smoother than my experience with metallic lipsticks, so I'd say it's like a creamy glitter formula, minus the grit and mess usually associated with glitter infused formulas. Saying the lipstick is pink and sparkly doesn't sound overly appealing, but the sparkle blends into the base a bit, so I can happily wear this lipstick in the day without feeling overdone - it might be a bit too much for work/school, but it's nice for casual time.

Lipstick -Huda Beauty -Metallic Power Bullet Lipstick - After Party

Huda Beauty have just released their first bullet lipsticks with a glittery finish for the holiday season and, yes, the hype is real. After Party is a violet formula, with a "revolutionary mix of multi-reflective glitter, kaleidoscopic pearl pigments and iridescent shimmer creates an incredible high-impact 3D finish like you’ve never experienced before" - it's like a creamy pink-tinged glitter formula, minus the grit and mess usually associated with glitter infused formulas. I ordered it on impulse on the day of release when I read the words 'limited edition', then calmed down and didn't think that I'd actually wear a purple so went back to the site to cancel the order, but it had already been posted so I couldn't. I'm glad that I couldn't cancel it now; the pearls are pink which makes the purple more wearable and the sparkle blends into the base a bit, so I can wear this lipstick in the day without feeling overdone.

Palettes -Huda Beauty -The New Nude Eyeshadow Palette

This is the first palette I purchased from Huda Beauty. When I saw the colours and how a lot of the shades lean cool I knew I had to get this. Plus I'm a palette collector so that is my justification ;) About me blonde hair, green eyes, NW20 or below very cool undertones for reference. I think every colour in this palette works on my skin tone. I've been wearing this palette everyday since I purchased it and I just love it. The mattes are so soft and silky plus they blend so well. Smooth and effortless I would say. It comes with a concealer shade that is the base/or primer but, the shade is very light. It does work very well as a primer. Their is one pressed pearl shade called Kinky that is so beautiful and pigmented I enjoy using it. The 4 multi- reflective shades are super beautiful! I was skeptical because of how the texture looked but they are bomb! I apply them to my lid with my finger or a firm brush I prefer synthetic and they look so amazing on.

Finally their are 2 pressed glitters. Which I thought I wouldn't like because I've never had much luck with glitters. But these are creamy they feel so good when you apply them. I again use a firm brush and I pat it on. These shadows stay on till I take them off with almost no fallout. That's what really impressed me was all these fun textures had applied beautifully and they didn't fall out under my eyes. I am truly impressed with this palette. These mauvey/pink to dark mauve shades look amazing on green and blue eyes. Another thing I love is I can do a whole eye look with this palette. So it's excellent because it enables me to try so many different looks in 1 palette.

I will repurchase this I don't think I have found until now for me a very cool tone friendly palette. The actual palette is very pretty. The shades I'm just so happy with. Plus the awesome fact on me that there is hardly any fallout with these types of products just makes me so happy! I think this product is pricey but it really does work great and the shades last and stay vibrant. This is an excellent palette that I feel a lot of pale ladies will like. I don't know how this would work on darker tones. For me I love it and I really just enjoy using it so much. Recommended.

Foundations -Huda Beauty -Faux Filter Foundation

I bought this from feel unique when the black Friday sale was on, so it came at a reasonable price. I was so excited to try it as I have heard so many good things about the foundation such as the 'full coverage' ' Photoshop finish' etc. the parcel came and I tried it on my skin using a real beauty blender and the brand 'Original' primer, I don't think it works as well as people make out unless you was to use the Huda beauty primer as I found it came off in patches around my t zone - nose and chin area. As for blemishes, I noticed it stuck to them and made them look almost like scabs? if you was to look up close. It is very drying, so once it is on the skin you'll need to blend as quick as you possibly can. the colour match was great though! overall, i wouldn't buy again and would stick to my usual Estee Lauder double wear. although the packaging was plastic (not glass as expected) it looked nice out of the box.
