Foundations -Hourglass -Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation

on 11/22/2017 4:41:00 PM

Horrible. It found dry patches I didn’t know I had and gave me polka dot pores. The L’Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder (hard to find now) is so much better.

Stick -Hourglass -Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick

Absolutely my holy grail foundation <3 As someone who is NEVER satisfied with foundation ( bc i have large pores and dry skin T-T ) I really couldn't be happier with this product. Not only does it sit well on my skin, it COVERS v well! Also I am limited with what foundations I can buy as I am white as a ghost, the lightest shade is just perfect for me. 10/10 will be repurchasing

Primer/ Corrector -Hourglass -Veil Mineral Primer SPF 15

I registered in this site just so I can write review on this product. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. And it's so expensive on top being a crappy product. I was so excited about this. This must be the only product that received so many good reviews and so many people in youtube claimed it to the IF primer for them but turned out to be so ineffective. I have oily skin which it claims to be good for but it didn't make my make up stay longer, my skin appeared to be oily within couple of hours and on my nose i could see my foundation made patterns like that of a leopard because the foundation kept slippy off . And the foundation would come right off if i even slightly touch a part of my face. This wouldn't happen if i apply the foundation on its own or with other primers. Smashbox was way way better. I moved to hourglass hoping for something even better. It's really shameful that hourglass created such a crappy product and charged so much for it.

Highlighters -Hourglass -Ambient Metallic Strobe Lighting Palette

on 11/11/2017 3:10:00 AM

I'm going to start off by stating this is probably the most highlighting palette hourglass has made. It seems to me that these metallic shades give off that nice high shine sheen that you want with a highlighter. I am most impressed that as a pale person, I can wear all the shades. If I mix all three together it gives me a beautiful glowy look and I can wear the pink and gold shade individually, the rose gold shade will work on my fair skin but I prefer for it to be mixed together with the other two. I believe anyone who is light to the deepest shade will get a lot of use out of this palette. I have an original strobe powder and it's more glittery, the metallic strobe powders are definitely more intense without being glittery and I prefer that. It's $62 which is pricey but all hourglass is pricey. I feel like it delivers and this will last me a very long time. I'm still using a blush from them and it's been almost 2 years and I wear it 5-6 times a week and I just hit pan last month. Overall, it's a beautiful product that would be universally flattering.

Lipstick -Hourglass -Confession Ultra Slim High Intensity Lipstick

I'm rarely suckered into luxury lines, I own a few pieces here and there (not counting Charlotte Tilbury, who I just seem to LOVE throwing money at!) and outside the Ambient powders, Hourglass really isn't on my radar. I made a total impulse purchase one day for the limited set of three Confession Lipsticks. They come in what looks like a gold pack of cigarettes- tacky, ugh. But if you like all three colors, they're actually a great deal! Other reviewers have talked enough about the case and refill system, so I won't go into that. I have no problem only having the one luxe case, and swapping out my color of the day, takes 5 seconds. I like the fact that you save $12 on refills, even though the price is still abhorrent for the tiny amount of product. These things contain less than the average mini freebie you get as a 100 pt perk from Sephora, and cost $22 for the refill. Keep that in mind. The formula is stellar, though. Comfortable, plush, creamy but never greasy, full coverage in a swipe, doesn't tug or bleed, and the color selection is beautiful. Outside the three pack- which contains the colors My One Desire (a cool, medium mauve), You Are My (a perfect Rosy brown MLBB color) and True Love Means (a milky nude pink), I've also purchased I've Been, which I haven't worn yet. I expect I'll end up with a couple more of these, but for the price, I'm not going to go too crazy with them. The four I have are lovely, and if I use one up, which is actually a possibility given the size, I might repurchase if I'm not bored yet.
