My skin has tended to be "powder intolerant"--that is, become dried out and irritated by powder, and look just plain BAD with powder. I have very sensitive skin that has become quite dry since menopause (used to be combo), also gets dehydrated quite easily. In the past several months, I've come up with some strategies for hydrating my skin that are actually working (see my Notepad for instructions, if interested). For several years, I'd pretty much given up on using much of anything to cover my dark undereye circles (hereditary, thin fair skin). Just too dry and any color cosmetics both looked bad and irritated the area. Once I realized that my new skincare regimen was actually working to hydrate the area, I started experimenting. (So many products... sigh.) But for a long time, I didn't even consider using POWDER--what? Powder, the stuff of my nightmares? Under my eyes? (When it irritates my forehead?) But one day at my local health store, they had a sale on Gabriel cosmetics (love the eyeshadows), and I was looking. Noticed that the lightest shade (Extra Light Beige) was REALLY light; as in, probably too light for me for an overall foundation. But as I poked at the tester, I noticed how soft and fine the texture was, and an idea formed... maybe it would work to help set all those undereye products and make them do their job? Hmmmm.... so I jumped. It took a bit of experimenting, but what I do now is, after I've applied a peach corrector and tapped in a skintone undereye concealer, I pat with a damp mini RT sponge (little purple one), then I swipe the sponge in this lovely powder, and PRESS it into the undereye area. I also swipe a bit down my nose as a subtle highlight. NO dryness, NO irritation, just a soft finish that doesn't get cracked or creased. I love that this has refills available. I love that it's natural (and actually local for me, I live in Seattle) and talc-free; I don't consider talc to be the devil like some do, but it can be drying and even irritating. TL;DR: Fine-textured powder that can be used damp to set undereyes without dryness or irritation.

good product. very creamy moisturizing finish. beautiful pigmentation. applies perfectly. good price for a quality, cruelty-free so-called natural lipstick line. i purchased it for $12 on sale at a local health food store (not whole foods, lol). good bang for buck. i got the 'velour' color which is a rich dusty mauve/berry. pretty! can't wait to try other colors in this line.

As you can see, I'm older, and have used MANY different mascaras over the years. And many of those irritate my eyes, to a greater or lesser extent. So I have often used mascaras that only *slightly* bother my eyes, since it's hard to find one that doesn't.Well, this one, doesn't. Irritate. My. Eyes. Now...it's NOT "giant colossal panda manga foot long spider lashes" mascara. It's a basic high-quality clean ingredients (green, cruelty free, gluten free) mascara that goes on nicely, stays on, comes off when I want it to, and doesn't bother my eyes. If you must have a crazy mascara as I humorously referenced, skip this. In addition to the many mascaras I've used, I have tried a number (not all) of natural ones; most of those, I must say, have been disappointing at best. In particular, tend to smudge easily (not good for those with teary eyes like me); this does not. I wouldn't sleep in it, but I don't sleep in makeup anyway, so... My sister, who just recently started wearing makeup (again) loves it too; she's less "persistent" than I am (re: makeup), and would have just gone without rather than put up with eye irritation.TL;DR: Basic very good mascara well-suited to those with sensitive eyes that can't wear mascara.

I have been using Gabriel foundation for several years. I change all my other cosmetics except this one! I love that it is highly rated by the Environmental Working Group data base for its lack of toxic ingredients. But mostly I love the way it covers and how natural it looks. I've tried various other natural foundations but they have problems and don't look good so I pay more than I'd like to and continue to re-buy Gabriel when I run out.

This is an exceptional powder foundation. It covers very well without looking powdery and does not settle into my mature, lined face. I often reach for it instead of my liquid foundation because I like the finish. I don't usually buy a powder foundation, but I can recommend this one without hesitation.
