This review is for the 2" Max Styler GHD iron. love this iron!! I previously owned an HAI Glider. It lasted over 15 years! I know right! I decided on this because the Glider was over 2” and in my quest for a replacement I saw that GHD has a max iron that is 2”. I tried 4 other irons:Babyliss Pro both the titanium and the ceramic and the new HAI Gold Convertible. Titanium was not for me. It did not leave my hair shiny or glossy but rather dry looking and fried. The HAI was ok but it was much smaller 1.25 wide and almost an inch shorter in the plate size. My hair had static and fly aways...and this is the middle of summer. Then I got the GHD.... and was in love❤️. The iron heats up in 20 seconds(love the little beep to tell you it's ready)and has an auto shut off...In case I'm forgetful. It straightens larger sections perfectly and tames my frizzy curly hair into straight, shiny, glossy hair and best yet it was snag free, the plates just floated over my hair. I love that it heats up to the perfect 365 degrees. I don’t have to worry about my hair burning. Great 👍 brand! By the way watch their site for sales. I know they are pricey but they had a sale and I got mine for half off.

Very heavy, dries my hair fast, but it doesn’t make it shiny like my T3 blow dryer.

This brush is fantastic. I've bought my first pro paddle brush more than 10 years ago, I really liked it and I was in doubt if I need a new one. I was at GHD to get a round brush and a wide tooth comb and picked this one along. The brush comes in a beautifully designed black thick luxury feeling cardboard box. It has a great ability to defrizz my hair. I've done the test of brushing left part of my head with this brush and right part with another, the difference of how sleek my hair was on the GHD side versus the other was very significant (styling, or just brushing during the day).Love this brush. Makes a great gift!

I have to be honest, when I first used these I didn’t really like them, I didn’t feel that it produced the curl that I wanted but it’s the type of tong that you may need to use a couple of times before you ‘get it.’Although I can tong my hair fairly quickly with these tongs (whole head can be done in 20 minutes, (listen that is fast for me!)) I do need to ensure that my hair is properly prepped first before even thinking about it. I would suggest that you buy the accompany Curl Hold Spray which really helps to keep the curl in. I also spray each section with hairspray, Living Proof Flex Hold is great for this. I curl and clip each curl into place and let it set for a while; you may not need to do this but I prefer to, to ensure I get a good curl.Once I gently brush through I get beautiful waves, gorgeous body and shine and hair feels very touchable; and the style lasts ALL day. I always get a lot of compliments when I use these tongs. I can’t give it 5 stars because I can’t just pick it up and expect my hair to be done in 10 minutes, I’ve got to allow a bit of time to get the style I want. It’s worth it though because I can’t achieve this type of curl/wave with any other tong or curling product. The tong is beautifully packaged, it feels like a product of exceptional high quality, but I would expect so at £120! It would make a wonderful gift for someone special.

What an AMAZING hair tool for long hair!!! Mine is layered and more than halfway down my back, and I've always found curling irons to be damaging and either it curls my hair too tight like a poodle, or if the curls are big enough, they only last a few hours. This curling iron is expensive. Before finding this, I was using one of the Babyliss ones which ran about $80 - I've seen the GHD go for anywhere from $120-$400. Well worth the investment considering it seems to damage my hair less, and is faster to use.It is a clipless wand, so I use a glove to wrap my hair around the oval shaped barrel. I've seen it done without the mitt, but I don't have a lot of time in the mornings so I do things carelessly so I'm more likely to get burned. This curling iron heats up almost instantly - about 10 seconds, and even CHIMES when it's ready!!! I only have to hold my hair in place for about 5 seconds VS 10 seconds with the Babyliss. After my hair is curled I shake the curls out and apply Unite Argan Oil. Voila!! Volumeous waves that last ALL DAY!!!My sister's hair is just passed her shoulders. I tried to use this curling iron on her and it still worked although it was harder to use because her hair was short and did not wrap easily around the barrel. It probably won't work well for someone with shoulder length hair who has to do their own hair.I can't say enough great things about this curling iron. If you can afford it. or find it for a good price, you should get it!!
