Liquid -Estee Lauder -Double Wear Stay in Place Makeup

on 3/23/2018 1:57:00 AM

Aside from the fact that this does not come with a pump (no problem, it's available for additional $10), this is an absolutely gorgeous foundation. Consistency is a bit more creamy and buildable with medium coverage. Some say that this is not an everyday makeup, but applied in the smallest amounts with damp sponge, this can apply very, very thin and look very, very natural.

Like everyone said, face absolutely must be exfoliated and moisturized (and absorbed) prior to putting this on, otherwise it'll grab onto dry patches, but I have no problem making this foundation look natural.

I took one lippie off because Estee Lauder isn't cruelty-free (and it should be) and the ingredients aren't as clean as they could be.

Eye Makeup Remover -Estee Lauder -Gentle Eye Makeup Remover

on 3/22/2018 8:16:00 PM

The worst eye makeup remover. Even when I soak my cotton pad and leave on my eyes to melt the makeup... nothing. I still find that I have to somewhat tug on my skin in order to get the makeup off and that is a big no no. Will not repurchase and I now use this to take off my face makeup, but use another remover to remover my eye makeup.

Blush -Estee Lauder -Pure Color Blush - Lovers Blush #10

on 3/22/2018 1:01:00 PM

Lover's Blush is a soft brown/peach blush with slightly golden shimmer, which is very flattering on my coloring. It makes me look healthy as it acts as both a light bronzer and a blusher on me! When I look in the mirror, I see healthiness and not the blush on my cheeks.

About my coloring so you can compare to yours - I am a natural redhead, who is now graying, so I dye my hair auburn with golden face framing highlight. I have green/blue eyes. My skin is very light. It's texture is dry with freckles and mild rosacea on my cheeks. I have recently learned to downplay the redness with a warm or neutral leaning foundation and now this blush.

I do agree with the other reviewer who said that its name has changed several times over the last 20-years. I recognized the hue at the store immediately. When I look at the display, the color does not stand out amongst the others, so I guess that's why I overlooked it. I now really like it and wish I tried it a long time ago!

Eye Shadow -Estee Lauder -Pure Color Envy 5 color palette Fiery Saffron

I love this eye shadow palate. The colors make blue/green eyes pop. It naturally brings out their beauty without being overwhelming.

Liquid -Estee Lauder -Double Wear Nude Water Fresh Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 30

I think this has been one of the biggest flops I have had in a long time. I'm not a huge fan of the original one, way too heavy. But it terms of staying power is absolutely amazing.
After reading the claims that the brand tells about this new version, I gave it a try 'cause I found it for a very cheap price. I used it for about two weeks before writing this.
Estee Lauder says, among other things, that it stay put 24 hours and is oil controlling. That's why I thought it would be a light wearable version of the classic one.
It is absolutely natural, blends like a dream and the skin really looks like skin. No makeup effect at all, extremely light weight, no cakey at all... The cover is quite light, doesn't hide obvious imperfections on the skin. So I would say that almost all the claims are totally true.
And I write almost 'cause after only one hour of wearing, my t zone was an oily mess, despite the fact I applied powder after it... In fact even right after the application it does look quite glowy, to the point of greasy effect... I must say that my skin is just normal-combination, not even oily. The second claim that doesn't work on my skin is the staying power. I did blot my face and almost the whole foundation got transfered to the tissue. I rubbed a cotton bud on my nose after blotting, and there was almost no product on it... So I am mixing it with other foundations just not to throw it away. Thankfully I did pay for it half of the price. It's a shame 'cause the finish on the face is really light and beautiful.
