Blush -Essence -Satin Touch Blush

Very good quality blush for only $2.99! I have the shade "Satin Love" and am on my 2nd pan of it. This color appears cooler and more mauve toned in the pan than it actually applies. I would describe it as a nicely balanced, medium peachy pink, with a subtle satin finish (no sparkles). Highly pigmented, so I have to use a light hand when applying on my fair/neutral (NC15) skin.Color applies smoothly and lasts all day. I don't love the packaging, and prefer a compact with a brush for on the go, but for the price, I can overlook this. Will repurchase!

Concealers -Essence -Cover Stick

I'm not gonna lie, I purchased this because it was the cheapest concealer at the store ($2.99 at Meijer). I don't use a ton of concealer, because I don't have bad dark circles, and the occasional blemishes I get are usually small. I prefer stick concealers, because of how quick and convenient they are to use, and this one is no better or worse than other drugstore stick concealers. I just swipe a bit under my eyes and dab over blemishes, blend out with my fingertip and I'm done in no time. I am pale with neutral undertones (NC15), and the lightest shade "01 Matt Sand" is an exact color match, but would not work for anyone paler. The formula has a lot of slip, and some might find a bit greasy, but it covers well and blends easily. I always set my face with a bit of translucent powder, which helps lock it in place. For a low price, it gets the job done, and I will continue to use it!

Mascara -Essence -Lash Princess Mascara

I really enjoyed this mascara. Firstly, it is ridiculously cheap even by Australia standards - I spent less than $6 on it at Priceline. It has a nice formula with a very good consistency which evenly costs my lashes without clumping. It isn’t too thick, and is easy to work with. I liked the shape of the brush too, it wasn’t too big or too wide so I could coat the corners of my eyes without too much difficulty. It took a few minutes to dry, and would smudge if you blinked too much or too hard before it was dry. It gave my lashes lots of length and volume without clumping them or making them look spidery. It looked natural but enhanced. It held curl well, and made me look wide-eyed and awake. I loved how it made my lashes look! It lasted well, but would smudge towards the end of the day, which is not an issue I have had with other mascaras. On me, it lasted around 7 hours before smudging. However, I was wearing this during the Australian humid summer so was surprised a cheap product lasted so well but I was disappointed that it smudged at all. The mascara removes easily with both Micellar water and cleansing oil, which is a plus as it helps prevent the delicate eye skin from being pulled or manipulated too much. All in all, I would definitely repurchase this again, maybe during the winter months to see if the cooler weather helps prevent the product from smudging. I recommend that everyone give this one a go - it really is an amazing budget-friendly mascara!

Foundations -Essence - Camouflage 2in1 Make-up & Concealer

on 1/18/2018 2:26:00 AM

OH MY GOD this is literally such an amazing foundation. It deserves so much more credit.

I bought this on a whim as it was on sale at Priceline (in Australia) for 40% off so it cost me about 3 or 4 dollars AUD. The nude shade matched my skin perfectly, so I figured I may as well just try it at that price.

Since then I have repurchased it twice, and I have a back up ready to go whenever I run out. I have very acne prone, extremely oily skin and struggle to find makeup that will stay on my face and not slip off, and not cause me huge acne breakouts. I use this foundation every day and the coverage is SO good that it covers all my active acne and scarring, as well as not worsening my acne.

For such a cheap product, it has absolutely exceeded my expectations, and I will continue to repurchase. I also got my sister onto this product as I was so impressed.

I am not one to purchase cheap makeup as it usually aggravates my skin. Previously I have been using Tarte Amazonian Clay 16 hour foundation (slips right off), Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation (amazing coverage but too thick for every day and causes breakouts), Hourglass Foundation (amazing in all ways but expensive and bottle doesn't last long), IT Cosmetics CC + Full Coverage Cream (slips off), and Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation (awesome coverage, but slips off within a couple of hours).

This foundation stands up alongside all of the above with just as good coverage, and in most cases much better lasting power.

Concealers -Essence -Stay All Day Long Lasting Concealer

Tried this product out for the first time today after purchasing it without much research but I wanted a product that was not tested on animals.
I wanted a light concealer that didn’t cost $42 here is Australia and this seems to do the trick.

I do moisturise really well beforehand & apply a layer of pink corrector first before applying this concealer. It doesn’t crease & has set better than the concealers I have tried in Mecca. I don’t use a lot either, it’s just to get rid of a bit of shadowing I have under the eye area.
The reason why I am giving it a good reasons so quickly is that I have just been to the gym for 90 minutes. It has stayed in place without smudging, or going blotchy. For the price of $6, it’s the best concealer I have tried so far!
Staying power is excellent, price is better than perfect, doesn’t have a funky scent and is cruelty free. I’ll definitely keep using it 😆
