I can't believe they retired this most perfect make-up aid which acted as the best lipliner of all time. These companies should warn their customers so we have a chanc to maybe stock-up?!?!?!

I wore and loved English Ideas lip priming "natural" shade lip pencil for years. It was meant to be worn as a primer, but gave the most luscious satiny nude look that was so perfect in texture that it neither dried out nor budged whatsoever. Indeed, it was the perfect primer for that very reason, but it looked so completely perfect all by itself, providing just the right tinge of nude colour, that I never bothered covering it with anything (though I should have since it was, once again, the ideal primer). I loved that stuff and went through countless pencils.Unfortunately, I have not seen it in ages and assume it was discontinued. I am grateful to the last two reviewers who provided info on close dupes (LM and Kevin Aucoin). I will have to check them out if I ever again get to a department store makeup counter. Now that I am the single mother of a energetic little boy (w/ no interest in cosmetics...lol), this has become quite rare. 😬3/14/17 Update: This pencil has evidently been officially retired & I'm searching for a replacement. Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk looks promising, but I'd have to order it to find out and I don't want to make that leap. Any advice would be deeply appreciated! If you have suggestions for a replacement or know where I can still buy the original, please private message me ASAP. TIA! 💕💕💕

I started using this about 2 years ago. As a sealer over my regular liner and to make a favorite color eye shadow a liner. It is easy to apply because the brush is so slim. You don't have to worry about getting it into areas where you don't want it. It makes any liner or eyeshadow/liner waterproof. I especially like to use it in the summer when the humidity is high. It makes my eyeliner last until I wash it off. When you first put it on you have to wait about a minute or two for it to dry - I just do something else like brushing my teeth or putting my foundation on while it dries, then continue with my eye makeup process. The first tube lasted me about a year and a half so even though it costs around $15.00 it is quite economical. I would recommend it and have to friends!

I bought this product several years ago. I am looking to buy it again, but am having trouble finding it. I can't even find info on the company itself, English Ideas. I did find one site that supposedly has it, Beauty Rose, but their reseller ratings reviews are scary! Is English Ideas even still in business? If so, where do I go to find their products? Any help or comments would be appreciated. Thank you!

I've gone through two bottles of this, and then was no longer able to get it locally and switched to Mac's Prep & Prime, which unfortunately seems to be breaking me out. Luckily, I found the EI primer online and just ordered another bottle! The whole time I used this I never noticed it increasing my breakouts at all, and it did mattify my oily skin and make it soft and smooth for the makeup to go on. I only use a very small amount each time, so though it is expensive it lasts a while. The one thing I don't like is the last bottle I had looked like it still had plenty in it, but almost nothing would come out of the pump anymore. When this next bottle runs too low like that I think I'll try some UDPP-style bottle surgery to get the rest out. I've not tried Smashbox's photo finish, but the look and description of it are very similar to this - if I end up unable to find this again at any point I'll try Photo Finish as a replacement.
