Misc Beauty Tools -E.L.F. -Studio Makeup Mist & Set Spray

I'm VERY disappointed in this product! I spent $8 (US) on a very small bottle. Used it for 3 days, just for it to burn my skin! My face is covered in burns and blisters. On my nose, under my eyes, my lips, chin, forehead. I've been to the emergency room for it causing my face to feel like it's melting. I can't open my mouth, blink my eyes, even lay my face on my pillow at night because of the product. I've bought a lot of elf products to use. I love them all, but this situation has caused me not to trust any of their other products again.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. -Studio Small Angled Brush

My kid absconded with mine so I got one of these for $2.00 at target.
Firm bristles and so far no shedding.

Nice find - and essential.
And if my kid steals it I can get another easily - and it won't break me.

Lip Gloss -E.L.F. -Lip Plumping Gloss - Champagne Glam

on 2/20/2018 2:11:00 PM

This was on my ELF wishlist online for ages when it first came out - and was happy to see that my local Target had it in-store! I grabbed Champagne Glam and it's beautiful. Some would probably be unhappy because it's very clear - but it has a bit of a nude/pale frost to it and lots of shimmer/sparkle and shine. It dulls down my pink lips (white nude color) and I love that. It is a bit THICK for my liking, it's a thick gloss, which can make it sticky on your lips. I also found that if I apply one thick swipe, it will clump in the middle of my lips or stick together, so one faint swipe is all you need. But I love the color. The scent is the same as their Lip Lacquers (vanilla) which is fine, but tends to get old.

I found NO burning whatsoever because it's a plumping gloss. A lot of folks on ELF were complaining of burning - and I had NONE. I've used/have the Buxom lip glosses - those burn and turn my lips red, no matter what color I try. This product does not, and I have sensitive lips. So i'd use this over the $20 Buxom glosses hands-down. And for $5 -- it's a large tube with a great applicator. Saw the other colors, but I like nude, clear glosses best.

Eye Makeup Remover -E.L.F. -Makeup Remover Pen

A genius product in theory. For years I've been dipping q-tips in eye makeup remover to fix mascara transfer on a daily basis...DAILY! I can NEVER manage to not get at least one speck of mascara on my eyelid. A pen makes removing mistakes quicker and more convenient. Saw this for about $3 and thought I had scored. However. I bought this product twice this year.. the first time it was completely dried out from the moment I pulled it out of the package. Useless. Thinking it was a fluke and I got a dud I bought it again. ALMOST completely dried out. I still tried to use it but most days I just reach for my trusty q-tips. I was inspired to write this review because today I bought a similar product from Hard Candy called Oopsy-Proof Makeup Eraser which I'm hoping will be a lot better and NOT already dried out. Plus the HC one appears to have a much finer tip which is nice. One of the things I hate about using q-tips on the lid to fix mascara is that sometimes it removes my eyeshadow as well. The ELF eraser pen has a thicker marker style tip which could apply too much remover to the lid and you may have to redo your shadow (if yours is not already dried out like mine!). So...yeah...looking forward to trying out the HC version even though it cost a few dollars more...

Lipstick -E.L.F. -Moisturizing Lipstick - Ravishing Rose

i gave this 4 stars for pricing because even at $3, this was overpriced junk. e.l.f. proves that you get what you pay for! shoddy application, sweet smell and taste (ugh!), flat one-dimensional colors. nobody over 18 should waste their money on these lipsticks. spend a little more and get gabriel/zuzu -- those are worth it! i bought these in ravishing rose and wine tour. the rose was like a tacky coral and the wine was just basic kool aid purple. never again.
