Brows -E.L.F. -Instant Lift Brow Pencil

on 11/17/2017 9:34:00 PM

I have this in taupe and neutral brown. Both are good color for me and sometimes I use both together. It does not make tiny hair like stokes like the NYX micro but it doesn't scratch or pull out eyebrows either. I really like this to outline the brows because it is fine enough and soft enough, but not too soft. If I want finer hairs around the beginning of the brow I use the NYX for a few little hairs there. I don't have 10-15 minutes to spend on my brows every morning and I can get a nice look with this in a few minutes. If you rub your brows it can smear a little but once it dries it stays on all day long on me. I do find if you use an oilier makeup sometimes it will tend to smear some if you rub it, but not much more than any others do. Consistency reminds me a lot of my MAC spiked. You cannot beat the price and there is a good amount of product. MAC spiked is still my all time favorite(until recently when the last couple I purchased seemed lesser quality) but this is a good substitute. Not dupe, substitute. The color selection is limited but luckily 2 of the work for me and you cannot beat the price. $2.00 and it has a decent spoolie. e.l.f. recently had a 50% off sale on almost every item on their website, so at $1.00 each I stocked up for me and for gift baskets and stocking stuffers for Christmas.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. -Crease Brush

on 11/16/2017 12:06:00 PM

I'm not sure if I received a dud of this but mine isn't tapered at the end. It's actually fanned out at the end and it looks like it missed the cutting process of shaping it into a dome. Overall it's very soft and still fits well into the crease of my eyes and blends out shadows well. I wonder if this happened to anyone else? I might have to pick another one up because the reviews are so great!

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. -Fluffy Eye Blender Brush

I love this brush!! I've been looking for a large blending brush for my eyeshadow and one that is nice and soft and doesn't irritate my eyes. This one works excellent! I love it and highly recommend it.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. -Studio Angled Blush Brush

on 11/16/2017 12:01:00 PM

Initially I liked this brush for contouring, but I found that I just wasn't reaching for it. It's just a bit too small and isn't as soft as the other studio brushes by ELF. I think it's an okay brush for the price but I likely wouldn't purchase it again if I lost it.

Primer/ Corrector -E.L.F. -Mineral Infused Face Primer

on 11/16/2017 2:11:00 AM

I got this primer in the clear option, and it's a silicone-based primer, so I expected it to do something for oil control. However, it didn't. It made my makeup go on smoother, but it didn't help with the overall staying power, and by the end of the day, my face is still as oily as it would have been had I not used a primer. The packaging is kind of cheap, and I didn't really find that it did anything other than make my foundation go on smoother. If that's all you care about, I would recommend, but if you're looking for staying power, I would steer clear of this primer.
