Fragrances -Dior -Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet Eau De Toilette Spray

I got a sample of this and now am not sure if its the original or this Blooming Bouquet. Based on the scent notes this seems to be what I'm wearing. The scent at first is fresh and fruity but it dries down to a beautiful sweet musk. This a warm and sweet fragrance with some lovely floral notes. The wear and throw of this is amazing too. Even after washing my hands and applying a hand lotion I can still smell where I applied this to test it out.I need to figure out which one this is but I need it in a full sized bottle.

Concealers -Dior -Skinflash Radiance Booster Pen-002 Candlelight

Tired eyes and refused to give up on make-up? read on…

My daughter and I went nuts recently at the Shopper’s Beauty Boutique using super redemption points that we saved all year for. So I’m hoping this will be the first of a couple reviews from my free/splurge items I grabbed.

Dior Flash Luminizer Backstage Pros Booster Pen, colour: 002-Ivory

I got this and OMG! Here are my current issues and why this falls into the ‘OMG’ category… My eyes have been driving me crazy for about 4 weeks now with seasonal fall allergies and the skin under my right eye specifically is so dry. (I feel like I look 10 years older and aged almost overnight!) It’s beyond moisturizing. I literally have to wait for it to pass and clear up. Combined with ‘fine lines’ my usual go-tos for under my eyes were just a creasing mess! Chanel & Estée Lauder concealer which use to cut it, made it so much worse and I had to wipe it off. So I set out looking for the best under-eye concealer for, ah-hem, mature skin. Gasp! But when it’s time, it’s time. Deal with it, right? And of course, I can’t do no make-up.

It’s a thin consistency, but it covers, but just the right amount of coverage for ‘mature skin’. A click pen type of applicator. So you have to initially click the top several times until the product starts to come out. As I have had a similar type of applicator for Kat Von D liquid eyeliner, I know enough to not click like a crazy person, otherwise you could be faced with a giant glob of product in one shot.

Comes in I think only 8 colours, but if this type of product is of interest to you, try to make one of them work.

When I applied it, even over my dry right under-eye, I was not only surprise that it didn’t make my eye look worse, but actually looked better than acceptable. (LOL, yes I literally was only looking for better than acceptable, the bar was low.) And that’s with my current right under eye allergy condition. On the left eye not under allergy attack, it looks great! Back in the day, I could pull off thicker concealer but now it’s time to make a change and I’m so grateful to have found this. I can only hope they don’t discontinue it!

I apply it first and just lightly use liquid foundation on top with setting powder to blend it all in. You only need a tiny bit so I’m hoping this will last for quite a few months.

Liquid -Dior -Diorskin Nude Air Serum Foundation SPF25

Love this foundation! I am early 30s, v. pale, neutral, oily blemish prone skin with red acne marks

I'll say first I haven't tried any other Dior ones so I can't comment on how it compares, but I have used Armani maestro fushion (similar serum style foundation) for years so I can try to compare it to that:

It kind of has a blurring, evening out effect, while still being light, you can add more without it feeling/looking caked on, but it doesn't hide blemishes I think you would need a concealer for that. Maestro feels a little heavier and too Matt.

It looks Matt but healthy and almost 'dewy' at the same time, without turning greasy looking. It is not 'chalky' and unforgiving of dry bits and spots whereas that was always my problem with the Maestro!

It lasts much longer, I blotted at 4 hours but only used one sheet rather than the two I would normally use.. It also has not started streaking and coming off, which I usually get with Maestro.

It sits so lightly that I can't tell it's there, and when I got home after a day out I wasn't desperate to wash It off, like I usually am.

Overall I wish I had found it earlier, I have wasted money and time on new foundations before that were awful, hence me sticking with Armani maestro for so long as it's OK. This is so much nicer in my opinion and the palest shade is much better - as with Maestro one is too yellow, and one is too pink!

I would say it's not for you if you prefer to look more 'made up' as it is very light. It also doesn't hide blemishes or problems, but I think other skincare or makeup items can compliment it. It also has a strong fragrance which I really don't like but I can live with It!

Lip Treatments -Dior -Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm

on 10/18/2018 9:56:00 AM

I already owned the 001 Pink so I was a little nervous when I ordered 102 Matte Raspberry as it looked more like a bright pink. When I received this I looked at it thinking it I was right. Nevertheless, before I was deciding whether to give it away to a family member (these guys are not cheap!) I tried it on. And I was so wrong!!! It gave me a healthy natural pinky tone to my lips and it glided on my lips like a lip balm. I am so glad I took the time to try it. This is my favourite lipstick at the moment. Even my teenage daughter loved it and wanted it for herself!!

Definitely a repurchase or perhaps I’ll buy a backup!

Liquid -Dior -Diorskin Forever Perfect Foundation

on 10/17/2018 5:34:00 PM

Dior has or has had so many foundations with "Forever" in their names that it's really rather confusing. I loved the previous version they had - the one with SPF 35. So, of course, they discontinued that one, at least in Canada (I looked everywhere for my shade, 014; all that was left were quite dark ones); I was so ticked and disappointed. Of course, Dior reps were touting its replacement - Forever UNDERCOVER (the one in the plastic bottle that you need to shake well) as even better. I tried it but found it too matte and dry looking for me, AND it had no SPF. FINALLY, along comes this new one and it seems very much like the one I fell in love with, minus the SPF, which I really, REALLY would have liked. In spite of looking darker than my original 014 in the wonky Sephora lighting, it is the same and is a perfect match for me. This particular shade is supposed to be good for neutralizing redness and I can attest to the fact that it really does. I apply a pump (or sometimes less) with a Shiseido flat topped foundation brush and the results are flawless and long-lasting. It doesn't look like a thick veil of foundation but it covers up my redness and broken capillaries. I am really happy that I've finally found a "Forever" that works for me and I can see myself sticking with this for a good long while.
