If you've ever walked past or into an Aromatherapy shop then you'll know exactly what this smells like! Demeter could literally bottle this scent as a 'Aromatherapy shop PMU' no kidding. It's so many different essential oil notes it just hits you! The cream itself is actually a lotion...I have no idea why it's labelled as a cream. The consistency is quite runny and absorbs in without a trace of residue which is pretty good going. Having said that I doubt this would be moisturizing enough for drier skin types. I used this on my lower legs which are the driest areas of my body and barely noticed a difference (but keeping in mind almost nothing works on them), but on my arms it was just the right amount of moisture. The instructions state to use on damp skin but I used on dry skin as I'm really not a fan of applying anything to my skin when it's damp, simply becomes too messy. There are AHA's in here as the description pointedly makes you aware but don't be expecting any kind of tingle, this cream is definitely no Amlactin! The Lactic acid in here is quite weak, as are the AHA's derived from apple and sugar cane in it. Combined they are barely noticeable and lord knows I've tried many AHA products! What I like best about this is the ingredients - tons of essential oils, many of which also have great brightening properties...so if you have any minor or shallow pigmentation on your body or just want it to look more even and glowing I would suggest trying this (the combination of brightening oils and mild AHA's is a good one). Although my trial of it was limited to just a few sachets, a close and trusted friend of mine has gone through several bottles of these over the years and I've seen a difference in her skin tone. This is the only body product she's used and she swears by it. For moderate to more pronounced pigmentation this probably wouldn't do much, if anything at all, best to go for an actual lightening body lotion.Hard to believe this product has been around for nearly 20 years and I've only just discovered it! I love how fast absorbing and non-tacky it is and also the fragrance...cannot stop sniffing my arm! I bought this product after a year of no chemical exfoliation because I had totally stripped my skin using chemical exfoliants. I took little heed of warnings to use glycolic products infrequently / lightly and ended up totally compromising my skin barrier and still have pretty dry skin as a result. (My skin isn’t even particularly sensitive). Anyway, upon first getting this it seems I had not learned my lesson - I left it on too long (20 mins) and my face was red, irritated, stinging for about an hour after use. Now I use it once a week and leave it on for about 8 minutes and the results are fantastic! It leaves my skin smooth, glowing and bright with no tightness or dryness or irritation. So, great product when used wisely! One tube lasted me 9-12 months used once every 1-2 weeks so the value works out pretty good.

Relief in a tube (or sachet in my case). Got this online with a whole bunch of Dermalogica samples and this sachet sample has lasted for 4 uses. It's a slightly cooling herbal/minty-smelling gel which you apply generously around the eye area. Despite the essential oils in this and overall 'mintiness' I didn't experience any irritation or stinging. Initially I didn't find much use for it as on normal days it doesn't do a great deal and my eye makeup balls up when applying over this, however used on a morning when my eyes were slightly puffy, it did help soothe the area and make my skin feel more 'awake'. Also noticed a very slight difference on the puffiness itself, although nothing major. Rather than tissue off as the instructions state I decided to rinse off with cool water to prevent issues with makeup and found it still worked as well. For reference I left on for 10 minutes before rinsing. Without rinsing the only way I could use this is on a night...but the eye area issues I have are confined to the odd mornings so it would defeat the whole purpose applying on a night. A nice treat for occasional use, I still have a sachet of this spare and will keep in the refrigerator to cool it down and hopefully make the cooling effect even better (works with everything else so why not). Like most Dermalogica products I do find it slightly overpriced and would probably only purchase if on sale. For a fraction of the price I'm much happier purchasing the handy trial sachets on e-bay or elsewhere online, as and when required rather than worrying about trying to use up a whole tube before it expires. This is basically a lotion for your lips. A very weird texture for a lip product. I didn't like using it, and the results weren't that impressive. Not worth the price tag at all. I very much prefer Dermalogica's Age Smart Renewal Lip Complex.I wouldn't buy this again.

I really like this scrub. It's a dry powder that you sprinkle into your hand and mix with water. I find it works best if I mix it with water in my hand, and put water on my face. I use this product about twice per week, even though it states you can use it every day. I have combination skin, mostly very oily on my t-zone. I find that this has helped refine my pores and leave my skin smoother. I avoid using this on my nose, because I have capillaries there, and I was told that physical exfoliants can make capillaries worse over time. It is very messy to use, and because it's a charcoal-based exfoliant, I have to wash out my sink after using it. I also find that it can be a bit tricky to mix, as the water tends to bead off the exfoliant before I mix it. I find that it turns my skin a bit red and can sting a little, but it does leave it feeling very polished and smooth. I use this before applying my makeup, and I find my makeup does glide on much nicer. My skin feels smooth and soft. It can be a bit drying which is why I don't use it every day. It's also a touch expensive, but the bottle is large and lasts a long time. I will probably purchase this again once I'm out, but it won't be for a long time. Usually with twice-weekly use, the bottle lasts me about three or four months.
