'Mouth watering' - is one way of describing this fragrance. Just the right 'tartness' and authentic sweetness to make you almost forget it's not edible! This is a VAST improvement upon the original fragrance which had the least lasting power out of any Demeter I've purchased, something close to 60 seconds! Sprayed over the Watermelon Lollipop' massage oil (which works equally well on its own in terms of fragrance and longevity) you can get extra silage from this, although again we are only speaking in terms of 15-30 minutes, after which you have to smell closely to catch any. This is good for those who like to keep their fragrance close to the skin. If you're hoping to get 'Mmm's and ahhh's from people passing you by, I hate to disappoint by saying it is unlikely to happen. I should know, I tried it many a time and the throw is not good! 'Caramel' PMU can achieve that but I'll write up about that in a separate review.I have to stress that the majority of Demeter's gourmand fragrances turn rancid on my skin immediately, coming off like burnt acrylic. Only a handful don't do that and this is one of them. A mouthwatering tangy and fun fragrance that smells 100% true to its namesake. Just don't expect it to last long on your skin....Selena x~ My HG list ~(I've sampled 100s of skin, hair and m/u products over the last decade and a half, as I love trying out new stuff all the time - usually sample sizes via e-bay, also plenty courtesy of a friend who works at Sephora. Warning: this product can induce some serious sugar cravings! Imagine a cup of steaming warm sugary milk laced with toffee and caramel and with a touch of date liquor...that is what you will smell like, albeit only for a short time - but more about that and how to remedy it in just a moment....My first experience of this scent was back in 2010 when Demeter used to have a room spray in 'Sticky Toffee Pudding'. One spritz aimed at the center of my room and any visitor walking in would be near-guaranteed to exclaim 'Mmmm' before even greeting me lol. 8 years on and I still have this spray although I very rarely use it anymore since this (and all their room sprays) were discontinued :/ However at last spritz it was still EXACTLY the same as 8 years ago. No turning rancid with this one!Now most Demeter PMU's, especially the dessert themed ones, have a nasty tendency to morph on my skin into something chemical-y and burnt within seconds of applying. This is one of the few that doesn't do that. I have this in miniature and full size cologne. Granted: yes it does not last long, however it is almost as long lasting as 'Caramel' but there is a tip to make any of them last longer. Simply apply to your skin; the paired massage oil and spray on top of that once you have lightly rubbed in. This won't make it last for hours (I have yet to figure out how to do that) however it will approximately double the time that it remains on your skin. The best part is the massage oils cost only a fraction of the PMU's and are highly fragranced, more so than the PMU's, and can be purchased as a stand alone just for the fragrance.Although very rich, very sweet and gourmand, this is a comforting fragrance that always makes me feel tempted to dive into my dessert pantry. I don't know if that's a good thing but despite that it is my fave scent from the brand. I'm writing this review from a place of bias. I first had this back in 2000 when I was 12 years old and it was MY BELOVED. I never thought of it as perfume and I don't even know where or how I got it and only the scent memory stuck with me all this time. To me it smelled exactly like a cookie fresh out of the oven. Rich and buttery, warm, and sweet like slightly caramelized sugar. I had the 1 oz spritz and used it every day until it fell off my dresser and the neck cracked. I remember holding the bottle in my hands like a dying baby bird, devastated, trying to fit the glass back together to save it. That was 18 years ago.Now I'm a full grown adult woman and can buy whatever I want, but I see that Sugar Cookie gets TERRIBLE reviews, so I continually opt to skip it, buying 100s of other "more sophisticated" and complex scents from all across the fragrance spectrum instead. And then one day I say "f**k it" and go for a used bottle on Ebay and suddenly understand why it's getting bad reviews. It still smells just as I remember, with a little something extra that I didn't notice as a 12 year old. There's a powdery, musky undertone, beneath the warm bakery deliciousness. It's very reminiscent of iris, with a sweet, violet quality. Doesn't belong in a cookie, but still works just fine for me. It makes me happy. I love the way I smell. It lingers on my clothes for hours and hours and it's clean and feminine. In a way this is 2 fragrances in one. First you get the 5 minute Pick-Me-Up of salty sweet golden sugar cookies, and then for the next 6 hours you get soft, clean powder with a kiss of floral. I love it. I love it as much today as I did then, somethings never die.

This is one of my favorites out of the Elvira collection. It has a sweet yet warm smokey scent to it. I smell more of the vanilla and tabacco which smells more refined and adult and not cloyingly sweet. It can be a little strong but lasts through a majority of the day. I would definatly repurchase if i was living on the mainland.

White flowers and green notes. I agree that it doesn't smell at all like salt air of any kind I've ever smelled, in Hawaii or the East coast or the Pacific NW. It's still very pretty, a fresh sheer clean smell without soap notes, but I sure wish it smelled like the sea. i'm still looking for a good fragrance that actually smells like sea air.
