Bath Treatments -Cote Bastide -La beaute au lait bath salts

For those of you who are constantly moving into temporary spaces and find yourself without a shower, you think, the horror. To your rescue a bath treatment fhat just might have you looking forward to the bath. Cote Bastide makes the most delightfully fragranced products. Every one I have purchased brings you to the natural smell of say roses, or figs. These too, are fragranced, but without a specifically labeled scent. All I know is that when you open the beautifully packaged salts, and ladle out - using the adorable tiny wooden shovel - salts to bath water, the whole room fills with the most relaxing and luxurious scent. These are made in France and though outrageously priced, are a worthwhile indulgence. Can be purchased at Four Seasons Products.com or Beauty Habit.com

Lotions/ Creams -Cote Bastide -Peche de Vigne Creme de Corps

This review is for Creme de Corps - Roses Anciennes. If you are a rose fan, this is for you. I love the fragrance so much that despite the jar being empty I will occasionally open it and inhale the lingering rose scent. This is what I would consider to be a classic, rather old fashioned rose while at the same time being deliciously real. I get compliments from a wide range (little children to adults) of folks when I use this. It is expensive but I will buy again after I use up my replacement (Jo Malone red roses) which, in my opinion, though lovely, is not the same. This cream has a fluffly consistency and moisturizes well. However, it is the fragrance that does it for me. It comes in a large (heavy) jar 5.7 fluid oz. It is somewhat hard to find. I get mine @ four seasons products.com. Beautiful, heady stuff for the rose lover.

I hate most musk scents but this doesnt annoy me because it's a light clean floral musk. I just wish it lasted longer.

Best scented fig candle ever. The scent lingers, burn time is good and oh - I just love it! Well worth the money.

Bath Treatments -Cote Bastide -Milk Collection Shower Cream

on 1/28/2006 2:01:00 AM

I WOULD buy it again if I could find it!
I was fortunatel enough to buy about six bottles of this lavish, smooth, beautifully-scented shower milk at 70% off, costing me approximately $6 per bottle.
This, of course, was about five years ago and I still have 3/4 of a bottle left that I've been saving for those showers where I just need to be coddled.
The only setback is the packaging.
Being that it's in a screw top bottle is difficult enough to open while wet from the shower, but the fact that it's glass only increases the chances of accidents in the bathtub.
I'm on the hunt for this product in Toronto...if anyone knows where to get it, please let me know!
