Sunscreen -Coola - Moisturizing Face Sunscreen unscented spf 30

on 11/19/2017 11:01:00 PM

Used twice a few weeks apart. Both times it gave me both clogged pores and a bad cystic pimple. The formula feels good and leaves a nice finish, but my skin can't tolerate it.

Lips -Coola -Mineral Liplux Sheer Tint SPF 30

The only good things I have to say about this product is that it has excellent sun protection for a lip balm (SPF 30) and very functional packaging (metal tube, screws shut). Otherwise, I very much disliked this product. Because it's called a lip balm, I expected this to be at least somewhat moisturizing, but it dries out my lips as soon as I put it on. The consistency is waxy and stiff. I also hate the smell of this. It smells like old-lady lipstick, and it feels like it too. It was also very expensive for a lip balm. I have the "Summer Crush" shade and the tint is subtle (which I like) and looks nice on me, but because of the feel and smell of this product, I will not be repurchasing it.

Sunscreen -Coola -Bare Republic by Coola SPF 30 Mineral Tiinted Sunscreen

on 7/23/2017 1:43:00 PM

So after literally 10+ years of searching and trying every high-end and low-end sunscreen you can imagine (both chemical and mineral) I have FINALLY FINALLY found my HG sunscreen. I've used it for about 2 months now. It's a completely different formula from anything else I've tried--kind of a smooth, mousse-like texture that floats over the skin and leaves a finish that is both satin-y and matte (you would have to try it to understand). It's a non-irritating broad-spectrum (titanium dioxide 3%, zinc oxide 2%). It leaves zero white cast and is basically invisible, does not cause breakouts, feels like there is nothing on, is easy to remove with a normal cleanser, leaves skin in improved condition after use, and best of all it does NOT settle into lines or pores whatsoever. In fact, it kind of blurs them. It's almost like a primer, but not nearly as greasy/silicone-y as normal primers (I avoid primers because they just feel like an extra layer of gunk). I use a large pea-size drop after my skincare and before my makeup and it makes my makeup look lovely. It doesn't get greasy, it's feather-light and breathable and doesn't clog pores. It's non-drying, and seems to work all day to provide adequate SPF. I haven't tried it as an outdoor, at-the-pool sunscreen, but as a daily under makeup it is PERFECT. And it definitely protects, as I don't freckle/burn at all when I've used it. It was only $14 and if you need a fantastic sunscreen that has zero drawbacks, you will love this one. It does come in a 1.7 oz. squeeze tube you need to shake well before every use (this product can separate somewhat), but what a small inconvenience for a flawless sunscreen! I have just normal skin but I think this would really work great for any skin that isn't super-oily. Really can't recommend highly enough. (P.S.- I found this to be superior in every regard to all the other Coola sunscreens I've tried.)
