Polishes -Color Club -Diggin' the Dancing Queen

DUPE ALERT this is very similar to Essie Baguette Me Not!!!

I'll be honest I just bought their other color Wicker Park and had a bad experience (formula discolored in the bottle so fast which I've never experienced with polishes), so I wasn't sure how I'd feel. I've gotta say though I love this one. It's a very pale pink that has a strong lavender body. For the most part it's an icy pink with purple undertones, but in some lighting I'd call it purple. The light purple body makes this shade REALLY unique. Like so unique I can't stop looking at my hands lol. It's a perfect springy color but I could wear it year 'round cuz it's honestly just so different. I f you like Baguette Me Not, and other, kinda-purple-kinda-pink polishes then you'll love this one. It's unique enough to stand out and turn heads but also subtle and appropriate enough for work, weddings, dates etc. HIGHLY RECOMMEND EVERYONE TRY THIS.

Polishes -Color Club -Across The Universe

Across The Universe came out as a part of Retrograde Rising - Fall Collection (2017). It's a grey/teal base with purple shimmer.

The formula is good. I used 2 coats for full opacity. I had no problem with drying time or its longevity.

It's an interesting polish, but I felt it had too much going on. The base looked murky and the shimmer distracting, which is why I would not be repurchasing this polish. Having said that, I do really like this collection and I would recommend you check it out.

Polishes -Color Club -Wicker Park

foto

I loved this one at first... lavendary pink. A lot less purple than the other swatches I saw online but still leaned lavender. Was happy to have a unique pink that didn't make my hands look ruddy. But a few days later I opened the 2nd bottle (I bought 2), & it looked completely different from the first. While one was a slightly lavender pink the other was a common looking neon pink. Very tacky. I had to read the bottles again because I thought I bought a different color as they looked like 2 totally different shades - nope they were both Wicker Park. I then applied both bottles, each to a different nail. They were totally different even when swatched on my nails. The common pink made my finger look extremely ruddy, so I knew they were two different colors for sure. Now i wasn't super upset about this, as even Essie nail polishes have problems with quality control (just comes with the territory of drugstore nail polishes). I ended up throwing out the one that leaned more common neon pink.... Fast forward a week and my remaining bottle of Wicker Park starts to look more like the one I threw out. I'm kinda confused because I've never had formulas change color. I think there's something weird in the packaging. I won't buy this one again since it discolored so fast.

Polishes -Color Club -Right On

This is from the "2014 neon poptastic collection". as much as i love neons i hate the problematic formulas and finishes. this is the easiest neon ive ever worked and even non neon formulas. this color was the only one not available on any polish sites so got it on Amazon for a test. the color is a bright pinky/purple; kinda like the color of purple orchid with iridescent shimmer. on my long polish stained nails i only needed 2 quick, easy to apply coats...one coat would have worked. it dries to a semi matte finish and with seche fast dry its super shiny. ive had it on for over a week without it peeling or chipping off. they offer 6 neon shimmers and im getting all but the orange n yellow. i totally got tired of dark polish shades so now just go by my moods and dont care about seasons. this has such a beautiful finish i can wear it all year long. CHG AND EVEN ORLY ARE HARD WORK WITH A TACKY, THICK FINISH AFTER USING THIS.

Polishes -Color Club -Meteor-Right

Meteor-Right came out in Fall 2016, as a part of Midnight Muse collection. It's a purple base polish loaded with bronze contrasting shimmer (my picture doesn't do it justice - taken in poor lighting). I love this polish.

It applies well. I used 2 coats. No flooding or pooling. If you were super critical you might notice the slightest brush-strokes, but you would have to hold the nail very close to your eye to observe them. It is quick drying and I had no problem with wear time.

For me this polish is perfection. I am so glad I discovered it. I would highly recommend you try it, especially if you are into contrasting shimmers like me.
