Cleansers -Clinique - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

foto

This thing is pricey if you see it just from the price point, BUT with the amount of product that you get and a little bit goes such a long way to clean stubborn yet wonderful makeup. No matter how many layers of products that I have on, cleaning it with this balm is such a joy. Usually I will be just putting 5 dots on my face and massage the balm thoroughly even to my eyes. Wipe it off with some tissue and as final check, I take a cotton pad and soak it in Bioderma Micellar Water. Then I wash my face, and voilaaaaa.... fresh face, ready for bed. Such an amazing product! I will definitely repurchase!

Moisturizers -Clinique - Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief

This really doesn't deliver a surge of moisture as the name suggests. If you like silicones or have oily skin, it might work for you. However, my combination-dry skin has never looked more dull. It doesn't make my face feel properly moisturised at all, even if I put a lot on. I wanted to like this - the feel of it is soothing and the pink gel is lovely - but it just doesn't relieve skin thirst at all.

Liquid -Clinique - BIY Blend It Yourself Pigment Drops

One star removed for the ridiculously small bottle!!! However, the product itself is magic! I purchased this in 110 which looked quite dark when I swatched it on my hand. Once blended in to my SPF 50+ moisturiser, it was an ivory shade on my skin. I put 3 drops of this into my Natio SPF 50+ moisturiser and only used my Beauty Blender to do a tiny bit of blending. I mostly applied it the same way I would apply moisturiser or sunscreen which is in sweeping motions using my hand. It completely transforms into the product you combine it with, but gives that wash of colour. 3 drops gave light/moderate cover when mixed with a high SPF moisturiser. The drops themselves are very watery in consistency, but you could see how pigmented they were. As I said earlier, the bottle is tiny. It fits in the palm of your hand without touching the fingers. It will be interesting to see how long it lasts. It retails in Australia for $55, so I was not impressed when I saw how much that actually brought me. The entire bottle is .34 ounces. Anyway, I will be repurchasing as it is such a versatile product.

Tools -Clinique - Sonic system cleansing brush

on 10/16/2017 2:32:00 PM

This brush would probably work great on normal skin. I unfortunately have sensitive skin. I tried using it and SLOWLY worked up to 3x, then 4x, then 5x a week. When I finally got to nightly a few months later my skin started breaking out. I quit using it but the blemishes are still there! I thought maybe it wasn't this brush so I tried it again. I've been using it 1x a week for about three weeks and again I'm getting a few red cyst bumps under the surface of my skin right next to other breakouts.

The brush does leave my skin feeling clean. But it is harming my sensitive skin. I would not recommend this for anyone using retin-a, toners or other types of exfoliants.

Lipstick -Clinique - Pop Liquid Matte

This is for the shade Black Licorice Pop. The formula is more creamy than matte. I expect matte to be transfer resistant and long wearing. This is definitely NOT. The color is nice, but not exactly what I wanted. A deep plum that turns more of a fuschia on me. It bleeds and wears off unevenly. I have yet to find anything that wears like Wet & Wild liquid catsuit. Best formula EVER.
