Sunscreen -Clinique -Super City Block SPF 40

A product I've been using for at least 10 years, probably closer to 15. I have fair, sensitive skin with a touch of rosacea - it burns easily and I can tan pretty well, with freckles. A really superb product for coverage, SPF and non-clogging, non-greasy protection that has really protected my skin well over the years - not just sun protection, which is the most important protection, but it is called "Citiblock" because it works like a foundation, too - not as pretty or smooth without precise colour matching - but they have improved their formulations over the years and this provides a balance of good coverage, protection, and almost-a-foundation that I just put makeup over. No chemical smell, although I have noticed that if you rub your eyes, you will feel it sting (the chemicals are there but are "low dosage"). Not a 100% physical block, but a combination that is really non-irritating and provides better sun coverage than most products I've tried. I am a fan of Clinique mascaras and this product and almost never buy other Clinique products. But this product stands out, especially for fair, sensitive skin. Have lost count of how many times I've repurchased.

Skincare - Face -Clinique -3 Step System

To begin with, the soap that they claim is for dry skin contains sodium sulfate which can resurface the skin or produce more oil. Sulfate was used decades ago for beauty products and then they realized that it was something aggressive for the skin. The tonic contains an alcohol that it’s supposed to be special for the skin but it stills being alcohol. I think the only product that is worth is the moisturizer the gel and the lotion... Investigate well the ingredients of the products that are put on your face and do not get carried away by marketing

Moisturizers -Clinique -Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel

This is my HG moisturizer, and I end up regretting it when I stray to try something else. Anything heavier, and I’m an oil slick, anything lighter and my face is flake city. Perfect for my combination skin!

Toners -Clinique -Mild Clarifying Lotion [DISCONTINUED]

Clinique you have made a GRAVE error of judgement by discontinuing this. You know full well the replacement is a shoddy/ witch hazel riddled imposter! I have 2 bottles of this remaining and am preemptively in mourning for when the day comes to use up my final drop. I don't know where I can find a good fragrance free low level BHA toner now. And yes I've tried the 2% Paula's Choice one and I can't stand it. It makes my skin flaky and greasy at the same time.

RIP not only this toner, but basically me

Masks -Clinique -Moisture Surge Overnight Mask

This is an incredible product! I have been using it for years and it took me a little while to realise it was the unsung hero in my routine. Deeply moisturising but has never clogged my pores or left a greasy film on my face (Mario Badescu Seaweed Night Cream I'm looking at you). I think it is good value in comparison to many of Clinique's other products and I recently searched on their website praying that it hasn't been discontinued as it has been a while since I purchased my last tube. I am also keen to cross check the ingredients list to ensure it hasn't been reformulated! I think that is definitely a sign of a well loved product.

If you are looking for a deeply moisturising night cream that is fragrance free and not going to contribute to acne - this is a great one to try!
