BB Cream -CHANEL -CC cream

Silly me! I once tried a sample of this and loved the sheer coverage and color match so I decided to go out and buy the full size. If only I had looked at the ingredients list first! They have changed it to a much more silicone-heavy base (it's now the first 3 ingredients!) so if like me you don't tolerate silicones very well then this is not going to agree with you! Going straight back to the store for a refund unfortunately. Have emailed Chanel CS to find out if any of the old formula available and where I might be able to find it, I'm hoping somewhere still has it.
Really wish I'd grabbed a few tubes of it before they changed the formula...

Mascara -CHANEL -Le Volume De Chanel Mascara

A friend who works at Chanel gave me a couple sample size tubes of this mascara and it really is lovely. After using it just long enough for the initial wet consistency to dry out a bit (really, aren't all mascaras better after they've been opened for a little while?!) it is a deep, luscious black cream that seems to lift and define all of my lashes while plumping them up. It wears extremely well on my oily skin and still removes relatively easily with cream cleanser or micellar water and a gentle massage. If it were not $32 a tube, I would run out to buy a full size today. Alas, I can't justify any mascara over $15 on my current budget. I will hope for a suitable dupe by way of the drugstore or a Korean brand.

Fragrances -CHANEL -Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum Intense

I haven’t been without a bottle of this since it emerged in 2001ish. I sometimes go for long stretches where I don’t pick this up, but I always, always, always come back to it. This is a beautiful scent, and while it’s worn by a lot of people, I don’t think it’s played out. It’s a modern classic.

Treatments (Face) -CHANEL -Blue Serum

I bought this based on the extremely positive reviews. But honestly, I do not get the point. The fragrance is overwhelming, and I do not like it at all. I have sensitive skin, and when applying the serum, I experience a burning/unpleasant feeling. I do not ‘see’ any improvement on skin condition either. Sorry, but this is just an overprized serum that is supposed to be great cause it’s Chanel.

Lipstick -CHANEL -Rouge Allure Velvet

This was my first Chanel purchase ever. It was overdue but I only really like to buy lipsticks. I've wanted a Chanel lippie for awhile and I researched the shades in this range. I love mattes and semi-mattes, but this was a disappointing.

The formula is not great especially for the price. When first applied, it does appear semi-matte, but it transfers very easily for a matte formula. Over the course of a work day, it becomes more drying on my lips. I have to constantly reapply. I would have preferred a cream formula because at least then I would know what I was getting with the wear time and more hydration. I usually wear lip balm under my lipsticks in the morning but it will fade over the day and the more I applied this lipstick, the dryer it would be without the balm barrier. Other lipsticks I find superior: Revlon Super Lustrous Matte, Urban Decay Comfort Matte, NARS, and a luxe lipstick I love: Guerlain Rouge G.

On the positive side, I love the shade I own: La Fascinante. It's the perfect pink-red for day for someone who has pigmented lips. I'm sad because I really like the shade. I love the packaging! Very sleek, different and classic glossy packaging. I really enjoying pushing the lipstick out. Due to the fact that I need to constantly reapply this lipstick, I am using it up more quickly than most lipsticks!

Won't give up on Chanel and they recently released a Rouge Allure Velvet Extreme which is suppose to be a true matte. I will check it out and/or the original Rouge Allures.
