Fragrances -Chanel - Gabrielle

on 10/20/2017 2:07:00 PM

Sad to see Chanel entering the vulgarity of mass intended boredom! Just a paradoxal joke it is named Gabrielle while she was the force behind picking master pieces like Chanel 5, Cuir de Russie, Bois des Iles... some will say this is "contemporary". Yet all, including those, know this is simply comercial and utterly banal!

Treatments (Face) -Chanel - Le Blanc Brightening Concentrate Continuous Action TXC

on 10/20/2017 2:01:00 PM

Never understood why Chanel has at least 4 different versions of this serum sold in different parts of the world. This is by far the best but harder and harder to find, probably discontinued but most SAs don't even know... fabulous product with great results.

Fragrances -Chanel - Allure Sensuelle

Well my first question after falling under the spell of this bewitching fragrance is why is it not as popular as Coco Mademoiselle or others in the Chanel fragrance collection? This is utterly gorgeous and beguiling. Just came back from Paris and smelled this at the parfumerie inside the Louvre Museum and bought it within ten minutes of spraying it on my wrist even though I didn't necessarily have the budget for it. My god this delivers that same intoxicating quality that the infamous Coco EDP does but in a less loud kind of way and more suitable for ages under 50 (no shade whatsoever to Coco but I can't wear that fragrance because it wears me). Of course the lovely ladies at the Chanel counter kept showcasing the new Gabrielle EDP in my face but I was underwhelmed by that one. I also own Coco Noir and I find this one to be sexier in my opinion i.e spicier and slightly heady. This lingers on my skin for hours and hours and becomes decidedly more creamy and seductive as the day goes on.
You can easily overdo this one because even one spritz is quite powerful. I think this one is for those bold women that enjoy wearing a femme fatale type of fragrance. I actually secretly wish I could wear Coco but this is seriously the next best thing.
Expensive? Yes. But hey its Chanel.

Polishes -Chanel - Le Vernis 572 Emblematique

on 10/19/2017 6:55:00 AM

Chanel Emblematique is a blue based dark red nail polish. Perfect on hands and feet. It is beautiful but looks very dupeable. Flormar 385 red velvet is the exact dupe for this beautiful color. They look exactly same both from their bottles and after applying on the nails. Sally Hanson 575 red handed looks a tone or two lighter on the bottle but after applying on nails they look very similar. If you have either of them there is no point getting both. I love this color, it is a classic color that will never go out of style and perfect for year around.

Liquid -Chanel - Perfection Lumiere

on 10/17/2017 8:16:00 PM

The negative reviews on here astound me. Perfection Lumiere isn't meant to be a high coverage foundation - if anything it's very low coverage and only meant to even out skin tone - so all the comparisons to full coverage foundations like EL's double wear make zero sense. You should understand your skin type before blindly buying foundations. This is meant for combination skin, so those with dry or very oily skin aren't going to like it at all. If you have normal skin but get a bit shiny in the t-zone, then this gives you a very nice skin like finish, evens out the skin tone and basically pushes you over to perfect skin territory. It is not meant to make you look made up, or cover acne or rosacea. You need higher coverage foundations with more oil control properties for those conditions. It is pricy and the shade selection is poor but the foundation itself and the pump packaging is excellent.
