Foundations -Chanel -Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation

This foundation says "healthy glow", but don't expect those dewy finish - I find this foundation more matt side than the dewy side, which happens to be the perfect match for my combination skin (a touch dry side). The texture of the foundation is amazing - one of my favourites of this foundation - more like mousse than cream. Very light, spreads on to the face evenly with my fingers, and although it doesn't cancel out completely, it gives enough coverage to any imperfections. It is surprisingly long wear too, but without any dryness or undesirable stretchy feeling over my face. I also like the bottle design too, it's pump so no mess & will keep the product clean & protected. 1 push is more than enough for me to cover the face and to do some top up on my nose & cheeks where pores are more visible. Another amazing part of this foundation is that it covers my pores too, giving foggy effect over to it but won't make the skin dry so it doesn't get shiny. Perfect foundation for me so far.

Lip Gloss -Chanel -Rouge Double Intensité - all shades

on 7/14/2018 12:06:00 PM

If longwear liquid lipsticks are too drying or too matte, you may like this. It’s packaged where one end is the pigment (with a doe foot sponge applicator) and the other end is a clear gloss (with a lip brush applicator). The color is very pigmented and has a velvety matte finish. Before I apply the color, I wipe a bit off the sponge applicator and then use a light hand. It’s very easy to build up the Intensity. The sponge applicator also makes it easy to apply around your lip line. If I make a mistake, I can usually fix it quickly before it sets. Once the clear gloss is applied over the color, you lips feel like you’re wearing a comfortable gloss that’s not too thick. I only touch up with the clear coat at lunch and before dinner. The color doesn’t budge. The only downside is that Chanel offers only 15 or so shades. I wish they had 50 shades!

Liquid -Chanel -Perfection Lumiere Velvet

This is one of the most beautiful foundations I came across.
I have oily skin, sensitive, dried-out skin. Usually I have pimples and acne, but now they are more or less tamed. I believe it is due to Emu Oil and Salcura Antiac. I recommend both if you struggle with adult acne.

The foundation is very easy to apply, spread and buff. I find it to be really stress-free when it comes to its application.

It sets Demi-matte, but very velvet smooth. It fills up all my pores making my skin look baby soft. It covers minor redness, but offers medium coverage, no more.
It is not transfer free (have to clean up my phone each time) but it stays put during whole day. I do not have to reapply it.
Currently it’s 30 degC here and sometimes it’s very humid and rainy and the foundation acts nice never mind the weather.
I do become shiny after few hours of wear but nothing serious or problematic. You can pay it off with any paper - even with toilet paper.

The good: stays put, doesn’t oxidize, doesn’t separate, dewy, no pores, even and light
The bad: not transfer free

I do not like the packaging. I wish there was a transparent line somewhere just to see how much foundation is left.

I have the shade B20 which is my transition shade. It is darker than eg Urban Decay Skin 2.0 but lighter than YSL Touché Eclat B40. In range with Guerlain Aqua N2.
Beige-to-yellow, quite neutral. No red pigments noticeable. This is important for me since I have problems with redness on my cheeks.

Powder -Chanel -LE TEINT ULTRA TENUE (ultrawear flawless compact foundation) Powder Foundation

This is a perfectly nice powder foundation compact. The compact itself is very stylish and has a nice quality mirror & comes with a nice quality sponge & the spong compartment is ventilated. The sponges do was up nicely & Chanel sales reps will give you replacement sponges anytime too. I bought it to touch up my make up on the go. In my opinion it really needs a spritz of Fix+ to look nice. I usually use a loose powder such as my La Mer, Laura Mercier, Ben Nye or Coty airspun to set my concealer and foundation. A couple of times when I have been late for work & in a rush I have used this very sparingly with a brush to set my undereye & foundation and it did work very nicely. I don't think I enjoy it as much as the Diorskin Forever powder foundation compact which has been my HG compact for many years.
This is a very light coverage velvety smooth powder that evens out the skin & helps to minimise the look of pores. If you use it with a brush it is a very barely there coverage but used with the sponge you are able to get medium coverage though it will look powdery so a finishing spray is a must. I have never used this product without foundation as always use a liquid foundation.
It can even be made to look Glowy almost dewy if you spray over Mac Fix+ Pinklite it literally melts into the skin and the Fix+ pinklite leaves a gorgeous glow and leaves the powder undetectable even when I've touched up a few times. Then I set with Urban Decay all nighter & it lasts very nicely. I would say with fix+ and all nighter it lasts 8 hours. I would definity buy it again but still prefer my Diorskin forever compact.
