Lip Treatments -Chanel -Rogue Coco Baume

on 12/15/2017 8:10:00 PM

This is not an intensely moisturizing balm. It is more of a maintenance product, to be used on healthy lips. If your lips are chapped, peeling, and/or dehydrated, the formula is not strong enough to revive and repair. I like it as an alternative to lip color, worn daily on its own, or under a lip color as a light moisturizing prep. I have an issue with popular colorless lip moisturizers like Chapstick, Carmex, and the EOS lippies. All of them make my lips feel dry and thirsty for the product as soon as it has disappeared. It's creates a very uncomfortable feeling that I hate. The Chanel Rouge Coco Baume does not do this to my lips, and as a result, has earned a spot in my makeup arsenal.

Eye Shadow -Chanel -Ombre Premiere Longwear Cream Eye Shadow

on 12/14/2017 9:21:00 AM

Being a fan of cream eye shadow I purchased the color 810 Pourpre Profond. The color looks interesting in the jar and is a plum color on the lid. The brush included works very well with the cream. I would have to fault it on the score of Longwear as it does fad on me somewhat but I am not using a primer with it. The colors are not overly full of glitter but give a nice finish. I like it enough to try a couple of other colors.

Liquid -Chanel -Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup SPF 15

This suits my dry skin. This foundation is so lightweight that it feels like a tinted moisturizer. It kind of reminds me of Nars tinted moisturizer. Because its light and still have coverage enough, thumbs up on this one!

I have B30 which suits my NC25 skintone perfectly!

Moisturizers -Chanel -La Solution 10 de Chanel

on 12/11/2017 5:18:00 PM

I have combo acne prone skin oily tzone/normal cheeks .

This is a mediocre cream-gel consistency moisturizer. Its not as moisturing as i had hoped. Upon application it feels really nice and thick but also gel like. I got a bit of shine on my forehead and a greasy feeling on my face after a couple hours. This cream worked okay but i had to add more product under my nose, in between eyebrows and dry spots on my chin(areas where i get dry from acne medicine). Its not the right amount of moisture id like in a cream. The only other problem for me is the 1oz bottle for 80usd which is a bit much for just 10 ingredients. I dont think this would be great for night time because its not as rich if you are looking for a heavier type of cream. I just cant see myself repurchasing every month (maybe 6 weeks at most) for a cream that does the same as something half the price. Ive been using and loving the first aid ultra repair cream and its great for sensitive skin but just a bit greasy after couple hours but this one gives you comfort and great moisure i look for. If you have the money then yes this is a luxury item to splurge for a day cream but sadly, for me i cant do it. :(

If you are cheap like me i just get samples from the counter or get the 5ml bottles on ebay and buy in bulk. I got 3 of the 5ml for 13dollars which equals to half the bottle of the regular 1oz which is 30 ml. Lol yes its super cheap but hey its a nice way to try it out.

Blush -Chanel -Joues Contraste Powder Blush in 370 Elegance

on 12/9/2017 11:07:00 PM

In retrospect, I should have gotten a Bourjois blush as they're made by the same manufacturer as Chanel and the cost would have been considerably less.
In any event, I do like this Chanel blush which I got thanks to MUA's glowing reviews and in my goal to achieve a 'glowy' look that doesn't look like excess blush.
The shade looks rather plain in the packaging but don't let that fool you. It does impart a subtle look with a soft glow for me which is perfect on my skin tone. (NC30)
For extra oomph, I'll use a bit of liquid or cream blush underneath. (NARS Liquid blushes are fabulous)
I do think that this shade works best on fair to light/medium skin tones; it may work as a highlighter on darker skin tones.
My main complaint is that the powder tends to 'kick up' regardless of what brush I use. The price tag is rather excessive too but it is Chanel. (hence why not five lipsticks)
Would I re-purchase? Only if I can't find a similar shade in the Bourjois line.
