This past winter has been rough on my skin, flared up my facial eczema big time. I needing something to help keep in moisture to my parched and rough skin. Decided to use this Calendula cream as I had some in my son's room to address his occasional rashes. First this is quite soothing, I was worried as it is fragrant due to all the essential oils, didn't sting. Good cream texture and applied easily. I only apply at night. Skin definitely less red and irritated in the morning. Just wish it wasn't so strongly scented. Easy to get at my local target in the baby aisle. For the last 2 months this has been my night time moisturizer. Doesn't flare up my acne. Really has address my facial eczema very well.

Conditioner -California Baby -Calendula Conditioner

on 12/10/2016 8:16:00 PM

I bought this for my toddler nephew who has very dry hair due to congenital hypothyroid and frequent exposure to chlorinated pools. This has a strong scent and I was concerned he would react to it as he has very sensitive skin. But so far so good. No rashes noted. It rinses clean and his hair is soft. He has unruly cowlicky hair so it helps with The manageability. It is somewhat expensive but it is free of all those awful chemicals in more popular J and J brands. I feel better knowing that label tells you what each and every ingredient is. A little dab is all I need for his hair, so this 8.5 ounce bottle lasts a long time. I will repurchase.

Lotions/ Creams -California Baby -Super sensitive everyday lotion

on 11/1/2016 10:53:00 PM

I really wanted to love this lotion, but something in it just doesn't agree with my skin. I love the light texture and the lack of scent, but it makes my skin a little irritated and itchy and I break out in small bumps on my cheeks and chin when I use it too often. I'll finish it as a body moisturizer, but won't repurchase.

Moisturizers -California Baby -Calming Botanical Moisturizing Cream

on 2/25/2016 7:52:00 AM

Way overrated and way too pricey! Ingredients have surreptitiously changed and new mix has lots of alcohol compounds and stearic acid and canola oil!! Canola oil is one of the most toxic oils.
This cream caused breakouts under my eyes and on the forehead. I gave away the cream jar, almost unused. The scent is disgusting too - not even remotely like french lavender.
It is scary that this cream is advertised as for babies. I'd rather put almond oil and lavender essence oil on baby's gentle skin than this horrible cream of stearic acid and alcohols.

It is likely I could have gotten a bad jar but even the Calendula Cream (a jar I got of that too) is no better.

Big thumbs down.

Cleansers -California Baby -Super Sensitive Shampoo & Bodywash

Botanically based shampoos with lots of vegetable ingridients are always super stripping & are in fact not gentle at all despite being completely natural. I love that this is soy, wheat, gluten, nut and fragrance free as well as completely vegan. The shampoo itself is too thin for my preference but that is to be excepted of baby shampoos that are meant to be safe and not clog little babies' nasal passages. This product as a face wash or body wash didn't clean my skin in the slightest & stung my sensitive, acne prone skin really bad as well as dried it out a ton but I'd assume for a baby who has generally good skin with a clean canvass it should be just fine. As a shampoo you have to use more product since it is so thin and it dries out the hair like crazy but as a once a week treatment for oily, gunk and build up prone hair this is a miracle product. Will repurchase for that reason and that reason alone as it is a much more natural product that contains no sulfates for clarifying the hair as apposed to Redken's Hair Cleansing Cream that is foggy & gooey & does contains a high number of foaming sulfates while being really pricey. Found this baby shampoo at Target and a 8.5 ounce bottle was around $11-$12
